Unless I thought I was in danger of serious bodily harm, no. However, their b/f's are fair game. For example, last year I was at a party and my roommate's g/f got drunk and started trying to slap me (for no reason that I ever got out of her). Now, initially, she didnt put any power behind the swings, and I was blocking them all, so I didnt care. Then she slapped me pretty hard (I too was drunk). So I hunted down my roommate and told him that either he take care of the situation, or I'd take out my frustration on him. He said he would, and then did nothing. She slapped me again later, and so I told my roommate again, and with more emphasis. About 30 minutes later, she tried to ball tap me. This pissed me off, and I slapped my roommate. She didnt like that I slapped her b/f, she she tried to ball tap me, again. I was really annoyed by that (and the fact that she came close to hitting me in the balls). I punched my roommate, straight on the chin, with 60%-75% power. He almost fell over. It spiralled down from there. Anyway, unless I have no other options, no, I would not hit a woman. If its hitting her or getting hurt myself, she is going down (or across the room). Once a woman has a weapon, she has lost the protection of her gender, and is soooooooo dead sh!t.
