To be fair a few articles I read on it say Snapchat is valued at close to $4.5B. I guess if they saw it as hugely undercutting their worth an argument can be made for not selling. That's current valuation as well so who knows if it could go up.

Honestly it is tough to gauge these social networks. I mean Twitter is worth $25 billion. Feels like 1999 all over again with these things.
I would love to know what their actual operating expenses are and how much they put in. Even the $200 mil the Chinese company put in for %5 seems crazy.
Facebook already has a Snapchat clone called Poke. No one uses it, ever.
