Woah.. No need for dual exclamation marks. I was just quoting what I read from the post, directly from the post, and I posted what I knew about it, as I have some experience with it. And it was only highlighted because it was highlighted in the original quote as well.

Exceptional. PC P&C is considered to be the best. Expensive as hell, but the best.

Try reading it again. That was the whole system using 343W with a heavy load on the video cards.

What's that prove? The thing has 6 SATA and 8 molex connectors. That means you could plug a hard drive into every single one of them and have power to spare ...

So, go build a system with 14 hard drives and no optical drives (since those are all the connectors you have). You still wouldn't use close to 1000W.

I would, however, like to congradulate PCP&C. Apparently there actually are people dumb enough to buy such a PSU, and even argue that it's necessary.

Actually... My secondary power supply is powering 8 SATA hard drives (using four molex connectors), three fan controllers which power 10 fans and one cold cathode light, a hot-swappable IDE drive bay, and a CD-RW. And I still have three molex connectors, one 8-pin connector, and 2 SATA power connectors free.

EDIT: With enclosures like these, adding hard drives is no problem. So I could put 30 drives in my case, and only use 12 molex connectors.

Actually that just goes to show there are people silly enough to spend not only one but several fortunes on thier computers.

Jealosuy? Me? Noooooo.

Full metal choco, you are quite possibly the only "home user" i've heard of who'd benifit from this, although you'd get better performance from 2 s12 600Ws (or whatever you use at the moment, the efficency is terrible).

Better performance from 2 s12 600Ws? Actually, I have a 600w and 500w Seasonic S12. Check the specs and pics in the signature. So my efficiency is probably pretty good. And check my first and second post in this thread. I just feel that the kw PC P&C wasn't getting the credit it deserves. Thing isn't meant to be used for solitaire, that's for sure.
