After that he kept going into cat form until the game was almost over. Then he decided to put faerie fire on me and spam moonfire. He still died though.

I'm thinking he was just a dumb druid.

Yeah, considering half the damage moonfire does is over time! silly druid

I love shapeshifting. I generally fight in all 3 forms in instances, in the world and in pvp.

I'm not saying I win every fight as a druid in cat form ... but I do good dps without using my mana so I can be flexible near a fights end or (if required) I can pop a heal and run . I think a feral spec druid (cat form focus especially) needs to hit and run a lot....and by run I don't mean flee the fight...I mean get some distance pop a heal and head back in. All I know is I went balance tree till mid 30s and I couldn't keep my mana full enough long enough to do much of anything...plus I think I'm just a better hand-to-hand type player (and i like that style of fight). I really enjoyed my warrior too. In AB win or lose (I know this isn't really important from a team perspective but just some info) I am typically the lead (or at least in top 5 on a bad night) in KB every since I hit mid 30s. I can't compent on the skillset of the competition or my teamates compared to other servers (ie they may not be great) but I do fairly well. In addition, I think the 30s are a good time for druids (and shaman of course) too . It might get harder as I lvl ... I'm not sure how my dps will look on a plate wearing warrior...but I guess I will find out

I have been having a lot of fun in WSG with my Shaman from level 20 onwards. Sometimes I capture the flag, most of the time I act as support or defense, or throw myself into a mob of half-a-dozen enemies and lead them in the wrong direction so a teammate can capture the flag. I can't wait to try some of the other ones.

Well of course. I am focusing on developing a myriad playstyle (i like that word ) with my druid. I have a 60 priest so at first I was reluctant to be primary healer but i've since reconsidered that position. I figure I will be open to playing MT, OT, MH, OH, DPS. *cheers*
What's really cool is that if I get aggro when i'm healing and the group isn't in danger, i can switch forms and tank whatever's attacking me instead of trying to fade or screaming for help! Or if we're against a single easier target, cat form for a quick kill then heal anyone back up afterwards.

I'm heading for a 0/30/21 spec. I decided against leader of the pack in favour of nature's swiftness and a pile of +heal abilities (as well as furor of course). I couldn't pass up the +20% int/sta/str either

Well, at lvl 60 druids do very little damage to a decently equipped warr, but a good druid will outlast a warr unless the warr has some lucky crits and manage to kill the druid before he does the root/run/heal procedure.

Of course, when they slip and get down to 19% HP, in comes the execute, did that to a guilde the other day, we dueled and it was looking bad for me, then I got a few crits(I'm a dual wielder so "a few hits" can happen very quickly) and managed to get an execute off, hit him for ~3200 damage

Well last night, I finally hit 40 so *tonight* (dramatic music) I'm going to BG it up. Finally under shadowform, my mind flay was doing a little over 100 damage a tick. I made short work of a foolish 34 warrior, who ganked my 31 buddy in STV. A 39 rogue chasing of all things a 39 warrior(maybe gear issues?), a 40 warrior who we passed with rez sickness and let him go and while I was still targetting him it dropped so we went to pound him(sorry), and a skull to me hunter. Druid sleeps his pet and we wailed on him... twice. Those shadow attacks get beefy with shadow weaving and shadowform. I was suprised, and I even remembered to cast VE (though about halfway into the fight).

How hard is it to build faction in WSG? And whats the minimum level for Uldaman(sp?). I've got some epic +shadow damage gear to loot damnit. :laugh:

Edit: The hunter was rank 3 if that makes any difference.

Uld is 35+ but you won't be doing the boss til mid 40s

I must be thinking of the wrong area then. I'm thinking of the badlands instance, just south of Loch Modan. I've got to farm it out for a pair of underworld bands.

I have one right now, I could have bought another one on the AH last night... But, since I am almost honored with WSG, I probabably will save my money and buy a few of those rings.

Ack, a guy was trying to sell a band for 125-130g. Now I could get a friend to grab it and pay him back later, but that's a huge cost for a level 38 requirement item. Granted it's nice, but it's really just giving me +5 stamina and +upto 18 spell power(which realistically I'm only going to see about less than half of that on blast and flay anyways. So for me +5sta and +upto 9 damage is not worth 125g to me at least. Now as a drop that would be awesome...

Though with WSG it's an epic bracer(don't have the name though) that can be bought when you are revered with silverwing somebodies, it's a +sta/int/spi +spell power bracer. Sorry I was perusing thottbot for tasty +spell power gear. I'm only familiar with the underworld band, as that's the second or third time I've seen people trying to sell it.

Oh speaking of selling, there was a guy in IF selling fused wiring for 8g ("Cheaper than the AH") and I retorted with selling it for 2g just to under cut his inflated prices. Then I reminded people that it drops on advanced dummies and he told me to shut up... :laugh: :evil:

Edit: Now for those epic bracers, those are BoP, but if someone was selling I would buy. I'm still using some junk +11 shadow greens with a free 5hp enchant. I was looking for replacements on the high end for them and those faction bracers looked like the best thing going. I swore I moused over the meeting stone, and it said 44-55 for uldaman. Though now that I think about it, I did pick up a 44 quest at uldaman a while ago. I'll have to go see if I can leech on by with my priest status. :evil: Sure I'm shadow specced but I got a few pieces of healing gear. If I go easy on the mind flay, nobody ever gets wise.

What are you using for the stats on that Underwold Band? The official stats are +10 Stamina, +6 Spirit and +14 Shadow Damage.

Yeah, but my current rings are +5 stamina +5 spirit and the blue one from gnomer (+3 stamina and +7 intellect?, and resistance, though I'd have to double check that.)

But I'm just saying to upgrade only gives me a 50hp bump and 6-7 shadow on the spells I spam the most. Hardly worth a 125g cost to me. Now if I couldn't find any rings(both were quest/drops) than the underworld band would be perfect. Now if I had two of those rings... But it's all a pipe dream that I'll be checking out this weekend. Between those 3 items I should be packing a good deal more HPs and a bit more damage, which in my case is always a good thing. It's really the only reason I haven't ditched my +11 shadow bracers. I like seeing my big flashy damage numbers. Now that my mindflay is over 100, the numbers appear BIGGER! Bwhaha. :laugh:

Hmm, well, money is easy to come by generally. 130g is a steal for that ring, IMO.

I am L60 and using one, that should tell you something, I actually purchase it at 60... It is a really good epic ring and even though it is L38 epic, it is on part with many blue L55 rings.

Right now I am either looking to get a few maidens rings, or the WSG rings in a pair... both would be quite good.

Well I know it is, I've been eyeballing the AH everytime I pass through IF. The problem is I'm only 40, and as of yesterday my 110g account is down to about 2-3g after mount and spell costs.

I know it's a fantastic ring, but the deal is at 40 on your main 125g goes a lot further buying a mount and skillups than one ring. I plan to get a pair in the near future, oh yes I will be farming the hell out of uldaman this weekend... oh yes... I'm telling you, I dig shadow spec so much. Being able to put out some nasty single target dps, and heal like a champ is a good deal. I'm sure I'll have my virtual reality stomped out when I run the BGs though. Though I'm fairly content with the fact it takes more than 2vs1 to take me out. I'll have to run down to STV and practice my kiting skills on higher levels, maybe...

As for faction building, do I need to go to the actual entrance to WSG or can I pick up faction missions when I'm in the BG? Also, where is the entrance to WSG? I've found Alterac and Arathi basin... WSG eludes me...

You get execute fairly early, like lvl 20 or something IIRC.
You don't need zerk stance or anything for it, usable in Battle Stance as well.

And no, I don't use pots in duels
Too expensive, at lvl 60 you'll be using major healing pots and those are fvcking expensive, and a warr is expensive enough with plate repairs and all :/

Wasn't that a patch change, plate cost the same per unit of repair as cloth? I'd would imagine that a complete repair of red gear would be costly, but no more than the equivalent in cloth repair costs over time. As for the potions I agree, my friend went alchemy and has been stocking me up with the best I can use for my level. He wanted to try something else, but I "talked" him out of it.
