WoW: Best race for a Warlock?

Probably. I'm at less than 7 days and have spent a huge amount of time dilly-dallying. I'm level 45. All I've been doing from 40-45 is leatherworking, cooking, and first aid grinding. Still, it would probably be unhealthy for the body.

very possible
especially with virtually unlimited funds....
best gear at every level... had mount the second they dinged 40..

also remeber that my guild has been around since Alpha... these guys know exactly which quests are worth doing and where exactly they are...and what it takes to do it...

also these guys also beleieve in alot of cases grinding is way better than questing in most cases...
they can get through even L59 in less than 4 hours.
these guys did 1-30 in 1 sitting in about 18 hours. after that it slows down a bit but definatly do able in about a week...

these guys get to play from work and or college (pisses me off) i cant even so anything but AT from work =P

naw not quite that bad man..
they either play from work... or tag team with kids, friends, or wives or Gfs that play too..
levels go super fast when you can play during the day from work =p

You don't know me nor wouldn't know me in-game so you have no idea of my attitude. As far as skill is concerned, don't pat yourself on the back too much.....it ain't that hard. I played a 55 shammy in EQ 1 which is a similar class using bunch of utility spells, dots, dds, and a pet. I solo mobs one to three levels above me almost always and can count the number of times I've died (solo) the past 10-20 levels on one hand. And in groups it ain't any harder.

When I am in groups, I like to spam unending breath and demon armor so that the other members of my party see a lot of casting animations and are impressed....

Your attitude is evident in your posts, thats what I am basing that comment off of. Im not patting my back at all. Im just trying to come up with a logical explanation for your claim that people dont want you in groups, because its not due to your class.

55 in EQ? pfft... that doesnt equal a good Warlock or for that matter a good wow player...

but that doesnt make me a good WoW player...it makes me someone that can adapt and use my classes powers to benefit my guild no matter what class or situation i'm playing

I almost always stick to the argument at hand and stay away from personal references (until they are invoked upon me) since forums should be a discussion of ideas. anyway we were trying to help you but you wont listen to anyone.. you just want to cry and whine that your chosen class is underpowered when in fact its one of the best in the game still after a couple big nerfs...

You Inablility to play said class well obvisouly gets you kicked from groups (you said it not me) its not the class it is you they are booting...

Warlocks are one of the key classes and regardless of what you say or think thats not going to change... as I said before join a guild that knows and needs this power... any L60 raid guild will most likely know how valuble they are...

little newbie guilds and pickup groups care less about tactics and strategy.. hell half the losers in WoW cant even make an assist macro and insist on breaking every mez...
get away from these lamers and get a better attitude about your class and a million opportunities will open for you...

take my advice on farming low HP mobs around your level for exp and money to get to 60... and practice your tactics...

Forget the macro... why does anyone need an assist macro? Just click on the player portrait you want to assist and hit F.

I haven't decided if I'll continue to play. I reached 40 over a week ago to get my mount but haven't leveled since. I need to either take extended time off, try another toon or just quit. I'm tired of the long instances, grinding and the game in general. So all these issues are moot to me ATM.

Also forgot to mention.. in a raid the main assist may or may not be in your group...
your method does not work in a raid group...

by raid group i mean using RAID to link multiple parties together... at 60 you hardly ever use 5 man groups anymore...
takes too long.. we usally go with 16-20 L60s to blitz instances for gear not for quests or exp...

When you are suggesting a macro for assisting, what are you describing? I did try one from the WoW Community macros thread that will allow you to set one person as the subject of your assist. It is basically two macros, one is used to make the person you select the target of all your assists. The other is basically the assist key. However, I never was able to get this to work and just use the F key.

press the lil chat bubble thing to the left of your chat.. select macros... new...
choose an icon... label it assist
the text in the macro should be /assist CV

if you were going to assist me thats how it would look..
whoever main assist is needs to be in the macro...
just edit it for each group...

then hotkey it put in on a bar and use that button to turn it on... when you click the button you will target whatever target that person has and you will enter combat automatically...
this prevents mezzes and sheeps from being broken and allows the main tank to keep agro while the party destroys what the main assist calls out....
