I wonder if he can write those off as losses on his tax return.

That's a pretty low tech scam. I am surprised someone with that much money in crypto would fall for that.

My next projected payout is July, 2019. I thought we could get paid out every month?
Dec. 2018 for me.

That's because they changed the payout of 'external wallet' from 0.01 BTC to 0.1 BTC.

But they appear to still be making sporadic 0.01+ BTC payouts, when the blockchain allows it more cheaply.

According to someone in another thread, if you use a NiceHash "internal wallet", then you can get paid daily at 0.001+ BTC payout. But you might still need 0.0105+ to transfer out, although they appear to also allow "no fee" transfers to coinbase.

Confirmation on that would be nice. I sure as hell don't want to wait a year listening to my fan blower constantly before I can start upgrading my machine.

I just transferred 0.002 BTC from internal wallet to coinbase, then sold the BTC, minus $1.99 USD fee for doing so. No fee for transfer between NiceHash and Coinbase.

The problem is, you can't transfer the accumulated unpaid balance on the NH external wallet address that you've been mining to, to another address. So the amount that you've mined before, would be lost if you stop mining for 90 days on that address.

I ran into the same problem, I've mined like 0.0045 BTC on my external wallet address, I stuck a "maintenance miner" on it, and I'm hoping that once it passes 0.01 BTC, that NH will let me cash out, eventually, before I hit 0.1 BTC.

Alright, going ICO first week of Feb. Who's with me. I won't skip town with your dollars, I promise.

Introducing NEFCOIN [NEF]

Proof of Concept: Utilizing Blockchain to instantly automate vB board spam filtering & authenticate each forum member postings - while members still remain anonymous. Content creation within thread posting are instantly confirmed by numerous cross-validations, thus greatly reducing moderator interventions. Smart ad-injection tailored to each user posting history will greatly increase per-click ad revenue for both advertisers and webmasters.

Initial Coin Offering (ICO): Invite-only ICO will start 9 AM EST February 2, 2018.

I am totally down with this on the conditions:

1. It's basically a scam
2. I can make between $500k-5 mil in the process.

AFAIK, cc trading isn't yet taxed by the Feds (gains), so I don't think they are currently recognized as "classic investment tools" like stocks and bonds? I would imagine that because of this, you can't really claim them as losses, either?

Ok we NEED this!

All information is publicly available right here, so no surprises to anybody on investor expectations.

Now we just need to get this listed under an offshore shell company.

There has to be some nerds here who can make NEF coin reality. If you can make NEF coin, that's you become Mark Cuban style rich. We will pump and sell to other suckers and cash out.

I cry a bit every time I look at the verge graph from the beginning of last year. Can't really complain as my Dogecoin has outpaced my stocks by 1000% the past year and my stocks did really well this year. Now wanted in cardona back in the .10 and the .38 mark but forgot to buy it then.

You can't look at it that way. Rising tide lifts all boats. You can throw darts and make money in the altcoins market. This is straight mania and will be bigger than dotcom, There are no losers in this market other than the people who didn't participate and the people still holding when the music stops. Until then, it's party and hold on.

Leave it and see where 2018 takes you
That's what I would do. I'm about to join the party because I think it's about to get even more ridiculous and we haven't seen anything yet. My poker friend called me last week asking me to partner up with him and trade his binance account for him. I know nothing about this shit but he knows I made million trading dotcom trash and thinks I can do it again. I initially turned him down. I still haven't said yes but thinking over it the past couple days, I think I'm going to do it. My wife is telling me to take $100k and put into bitcoin and etherum. lol. I told her I would do $25k to start to get my feet wet.

There needs to be significant value in the blockchain itself or backing from a major financial player or, outside of BTC, it's pretty high risk. I wonder what the impact would be if Satoshi cashed out, though.

As always, be careful.

Most of these coins' valuations are ridonkulously stupid with 0 product, 0 go-to-market strategy, 0 clients

Hmm.. What max % does your money management strategy say is feasible on high risk ventures? Absolute $ figures do not mean anything really.

how do the underlying developers get paid out here? Surely they aren't working for free.
