BfA was the first WoW expansion that I didn't at least level-cap. I've been really trending downward about how much commitment I have to the game since WotLK. This isn't entirely BfA's fault though; I picked up a job with a long commute, and other life events have gotten in the way of meaningful play time.
However, this is something I'm genuinely excited about. I have a lot of memories in old Azeroth, and I feel like it isn't *all* nostalgia. I played for a bit on Nostalrius and Elysium, but never level capped on either. Not long in, the guys I was playing with quit due to perceived difficulty. The lack of guarantee that all their hard work wouldn't just evaporate from a cease and desist order kept them from getting fully invested. Lo and behold...that's exactly what happened...
I have a certain group of online gamer friends that I made through WoW. They're at least going to give it a try. For $15 a month...so will I. While nothing will take me back to being 18 in 2004, I hope that this will give me and my group of friends a few more good memories we can look back on. When we're old shits, we can debate whether or not said memories happened "the first time" or "the second time" we played original WoW.
