wow dell 2405

i ordered a 2405 from costco on sunday and it was delivered by ups today.

wow. its huge.

while i was waiting for it to ship i looked at pictures of the 3007 next to a 2405 at hardocp. i started worrying that 24" might not be that much bigger than my current 19" crt.

LOL!!!

this thing is HUGE. i can even imagine how i would fit the 3007 on my desk let alone play games on it.

so far ive watched dvds, hdtv, and played a few hours of cs.

this thing is a total beast.

user report:
1. ive not experienced any of the "mouse lag" a few people have complained about.
2. my geforce 7800gt runs CS:S great at native 1920x1200 with 0x aa and 4x af with all settings on high.
3. there are no annoying sounds coming from the monitor like some users have reported.

i've got 1 question

i've heard people saying in other posts that when u go to ultra high resolutions like 1920x1200 or higher, disabling aa isnt a big deal.

i disabled aa to get some more fps while in cs and i gotta say i didnt notice any jaggies while playing. when i stopped and looked close i could see some very minor jaggies.

why does aa improve the picture so much more in 1280x1024 but not as much in 1920x1200??

i would think that the bigger the monitor and the higher the res jaggies would become more glaringly obvious. not smaller.

You are using more pixels to show the same things or area of the game (for example, your gun), so the lines are more accurate.
