I just woke up, I was more tired than I thought.
I'll be playing with lower multi's this evening, but I don't think I will get to far.
My ram will be holding me back.

I will give her a go though. I'll raise the CAS latency to 3 and see if the Corsair XMS memory has any more leg room. the ram spd is set to 2,3,2,6 PC3200.

I'm hoping (crossing fingers) that the ATI X800XT card will be in by the end of the month.
Right now game benchmarks are virtually no different than my P4 system. My 9800 Pro is the bottleneck.

However the best way to describe the way the system feels is "smooth".
Things are just silky smooth.
On a wierd note, I've loaded Call of Duty and my pings are better. I'm not sure why the FX would have any effect on ping, but it is noticeable. Servers are coming up at 30 to 35 ms as compared to 40 to 45 on the Intel board. <<<< this make me VERY happy

try setting memory dividers lower.. like 166mhz or 150mhz and lower ur LDT multi to 2.5 or 2 depending on how high you get.

3DMark 2003 6818
3D Mark 2001 22635 I'm working on this one, it won't complete at 2700 Mhz

AquaMark Score: 52871
AquaMark CPU Score: 10759
AquaMark GFX Score: 6930

Right now, 100% stable is 2665 Mhz
The only thing I have a problem with is 3DMark 2001 at 2700 Mhz

What is LDT? I'm still new at this so I'm sure there are settings I don't understand

LDT=lightning data transport which is what it's referred to with nF3 boards. Your board's bios calls it the HT speed.

BTW, that is a awesome AQ3 score for a 9800pro!!!!

As a person with direct knowledge of both the P4 at a decent oc and a Athlon FX can you run some multitasking benchmarks for us??? Lets see the results.....Most who have P4s like me who have ran the test had Bartons but not likley Fx's so it would be nice to see some data on it....

I hopefully will have a dual 3.3ghz Xeon setup come 2 eeks from now and I am starting the benchamrks of my 2.4@3.5ghz in all my encoding and rendering and multitasking apps to see what the effect of real dual physical processors will be then I will enable HT and see the effects of 4 virtual cpus will be.....

By the way my dual xeons 2.66's will only set me back 424-450 dolars and then 195 for my mobo...Throw in my new PSU and that is about what you paid for the FX53...I am also going to likely order a x800pro in about 3 weeks...

I know, but I want to see someone with an FX to run these test, and especially someone who had a nice P4 setup....It will be very informative for all of us....

I think if my dual xeon setup is a hit I think maybe some ppl who are following may go that route...The fact is dual core cpus are coming and it is clear ramping up speed with Intel and teir prescotts may be a dud for awhile so I think duallie systems are the next best thing to do.

DISCLAIMER *** NOt for gamers though*** So his FX53 system will rock for him no doubt about it..There is no equal to it....

SilverBack: Nice OC. When you are finished benching, please post your max stable P95 OC. I have been toying with the idea of getting either an FX53 setup or the 3.2 EE. I could usually count on an extra 3-400MHz with VapoChill cooling over air (P4), so 3.0GHz with the FX53 may be possible.

Is there any reason why I would want it lower?

Could you try to get that to around 220Mhz FSB? That would offer a good performance increase.

Dhrystone ALU : 10615MIPS

That is all? This doesn't sound as 2.7 GHz, more like <2.5 GHz to me.

Superpi 1m 34 seconds

Yet again. You 2.7 sounds much like 2.5 GHz or less.

Drystone ALU for 2.7 GHz AMD 64 should be above 11,000.

yeah... something seems a little weird

2.6 ghz A64 3200+ i get 34 seconds on superpi 1M

i have a 9700pro clocked at 432/350 and get 22,963 on 3dmark2k1

your scores seem a tad low... then again i was running a fsb of 289... what fsb are you running?

ahh 225...

probably why...

As stardust was pointing out, lowering the HT speed can increase the fsb overclock and get you "over the hump" so to speak.

That's truly amazing Shimmishim.
The shuttle AN50R only allows adjusting the system bus speed within 200 to 250 MHz in 1 MHz increments.

That's a stupendous overclock.
From what I've read about it on several review sites the PCI/AGP bus is also unlocked. It's uncanny that your 9700 Pro could take that extreme of an AGP frequency.
Someone help me here, I'm thinking that the AGP bus had to be 96 Hz?
WOW Way to GO!.

No wonder that system was so fast.

Exactly how did you get it to run that way?
I looked up about 5 reviews of the Shuttle AN50r and no one seemed to be able to get it past a FSB of 215?
