He gave me $1.90. It baffles me that they don't keep change on them. Only dollar bills? And making me wait 5 minutes to count 90 cents, while I am on my way to work pissed me off.

It's a full service ONLY station, and, until this morning, was the cheapest station around and didn't charge more for CC users.

Now it's charging as much as everyone else. No real reason for me to go there anymore, and I much prefer pumping my own gas.

I'm sorry, but I am not paying a single cent more for gas than I had to. If he is pocketing 90 cents per customer because they are too lazy or impatient to wait for change, he is making a good profit.

Many states require waiters to be paid at least minimum wage before tips idiot, waiters still are tipped in these states, in fact most western states are this way.

Anyway I'm against tipping but I'm culturally biased. Here it's not expected and the standard prices/service charges etc. reflect this. If the prices are really that low for rich people I'd probably tip too, IF the service is good, I have no pity for slackers.

Though not gas station related, the pizza delivery guys in my neighborhood in Brooklyn call you up and try to get you to come downstairs out of your apartment or house to meet them at their car. The point of delivery is to not leave my house. In exchange, I pay a $2 charge and tip generously.

I've since stopped ordering pizza, but I never tipped when they pulled that shiz.
