I guess my body simply wants to be a fatass. Went to the gym yesterday and I'm 221 pounds. My all time low was 208. Behind being lazy on cold days, and dealing with my fathers death over the last few weeks, I guess I've been slacking.

That's a big ass difference. I'm not too worried though, I'm looking at it as a challenge and will start to go at it at a normal interval again. I've also secured use of the janitors shower at work, so I can run in a familiar place on weekends. There's a really nice scenic route at work I can use. I will be walking to work (2.5 miles) and the running a lap or two (another 2 miles) and then walking back to cool down. I expect it to be incredibly hard the first few tries, but it'll be once a week on top of gym days, but I really think I can pull it off.

I'm going to try for a ripped look before the end of the summer. I'm sick and tired of being fat. I was absolutely out of shape yesterday...lol I've never been so determined in my life to get my ass in shape.

Just felt like ranting. The extra weight gain, while annoying, doesn't really bother me at all; I'm sure I'll get rid of it fast.

You can do it mate. Just be consistent with your meals and training. Don't be so hard on yourself if you miss a run or something. Just be as consistent as you can.

You and me both, my ambiguously black/Indian brother. Had a rough 2012 for a variety of reasons, recently weighed myself, and was shocked to see 215 on the scale. I was 200 for a long while, and even that pissed me off. 185-190 is where I should be. Just finished my 2nd straight week of 6 day/week working out and 'trying' to eat somewhat healthier. Sucks, but I've turned into a fat ass, and that is unacceptable.

It's really not that hard to lose weight. Simple enough.. Eat Less. If you have a smart phone, Get the app called Lose It. Track every single thing that you put into your mouth. It will set goals for you and help you maintain them, granted that you eat right. Don't eat crap processed foods. Fresh fruit & veggie, chicken, almonds, greek yogurt, sweet potatoes...You get the idea. You can have some junk food, but limit it to 1 meal per week.

Exercise, too. Lift some weights and do some cardio on a tread mill or an elliptical machine, 3-4 times per week.

If you follow those loose guide lines for a few months, you can totally lose the weight you want while also gaining some muscle. It isn't easy and takes time, but once you make it a life style, you will feel doing anything different. Your body will crave the gym and eating right will make you healthier over all.
