I just came in to say that most (all) of these problems have roots in Europe. Europe has chosen to meddle in affairs and regions it doesn't understand without so much as a thought to who gets hurt. None of these problems in the middle east started with the Israeli government. These problems go back hundreds and thousands of years ago to Europe and its armies and colonies and rape of native people's rights and livelyhoods. Israel, Palestine, the entire middle east have long lasting scars from the Europeans trampling everyone and everything in the region. Europe has sown the fields with blood, hate, and lies. Europe now stands back and watches the heathens kill each other while claiming moral superiority.

Europe, I'm blaming you.

saahmed, you're absolutely right about education being the solution.

Odd, though, how there are uneducated poor all over the world who aren't strapping explosives to their asses and looking for the nearest infidel to destroy.

You dont see violence in other impoverished areas of the world? What about the genocides in Africa? There's violence all over the world, it just seems that we focus on only a few issues in the world. Also, these people in the Middle East are being educated, but in the wrong way, anywhere you have that, you can have problems.

Why is it that everyone has to come up with these stupid comments like your one above, that theyre all looking for the nearest infidel to destroy? Its simply not true. I could say, why is that all these educated Israeli's are looking for the nearest Muslim to destroy.

It's not a stupid comment. There are wars, atrocities, etc all over. But they're performed by a few leaders and followers against their own people, as a rule.

Israelis don't want to destroy the Muslims. They want to be left the fvck alone. But the Palestinians won't.

I don't think Israel can say they are blameless in this "conflict".

In the entire conflict? No. As far as I'm concerned, this response is entirely justified given that the Palestinians and Hamas are the ones that broke the ceasefire agreement...repeatedly...before Israel responded.

they are all to blame.

israel doesn;t want to recognize palestine because that invalidates the israelaieli nation, and palestine doesn;t want to recognize israel because that invalidates the nation of palestine...

the palestinians will probaby never stop fighting.and the isrealies will never stop coutneringor goign on the offensive unless they run out of funds to supply their war machine.....

that whole square inch on the map is a disgrace...

I think you are overestimating the average palestinian.
These are just poor people trying to make a living. At that standard you can't expect them to make judgements such as that.

Yes that's right- the Palestinian's are just doing the jobs the Israeli's don't want to do

Your argument sounds similiar to the one people make for illegals ..........Pathetic.
Israel's best bet is to wipe the Palestinian's off the map completely- that is the only way they will have peace.....after that is done they will have more natural barriers to their other enemies as well......................

Of course we give money to Israel- they are our only true ally in that region except maybe Kuwait.......

Do I even need to explain to you why this comparison is so absolutely asinine that you should probably cut off your own testicles so you don't breed?

::whips out map:
::looks to East and West of US, sees huge oceans::
::looks North and South of US, sees Canada and Mexico::

::looks all around Israel, sees a Sea and a whole bunch of countries harboring pissed off Muslim Fundamentalists::

Umm, no. The Israel/Palestine conflict has nothing to do things that happened thousands of years ago in Europe. The Israel/Palestine conflict is going on because the country of Palestine was basically "parted out" to form a new country... called Israel. Eventually, Palestine basically almost ceased to exist and just about all of it's land was given away to create the nation of Israel. There's a conflict because a whole people lost their home country to create a nation for another group of people. If this happened to your country, I'm sure you would be royally pissed as well.

Israel broke it. Shellings, it was in the news. Little girl rolling all over the beach because 8 members of her family got killed by an israeli shell.

Did you miss the fact that Israel was cleaned of blame for that incident? Or do you always forget to follow up newsstories.

Who were they cleared by?

I don't think they are clear, but there is enough doubt out there to question who was responsible. It isn't really clear who was responsible.

Country of Palestine? When did this happen?

There was never a country called Palestine. The region was named "Palestine" before Israel was formed. The Zionists didn't "take" the land; they legitimately purchased it since 1917.

Let's make this clear. The word "Palestinian" simply refers to Arabs who live in that region what is called Israel today. They are no different than Saudis, Iraqis, and Jordanians...all Arabs. They are not a separate "people."

There is a common misconception that there was a country called Palestine and that the Jews took this country away from the Palestinians. It was a British territory and never a Palestinian state.

What happened was that the UN wanted to make two seperate countries side by side after WWII. The Palestinians refused this and declared war on the Jews along with Egypt, Syria, Transjordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and a few others.

The Israelis won.

I dont understand what youre trying to say in your first line, and I dont see how the Israeli-Palestine conflict is different from other, much greater world problems.

Your second line is downright ignorant. You dont have any idea what its really like over there, you simply have something against all Muslims and I dont know why that is, you've clearly never met a Muslim. I have heard first hand accounts from both sides, from a variety of people, and I have also seen news shown in the other point of view, which of course may have its own biases. I think I have a good understanding of what its really like over there.

there are many places in the world poorer or suffernig worse oppression that don't resort to the level of senseless violence and hate that come from the palestinians. ideology has plenty to do with it. look, the 19 hijackers that flew planes into the wtc were college educated middle class folks. and thats how it generally is.
