Ho is short for whore, but it's not being used lliterally. Many people use the terms "ho" or "bitches"....etc to refer to girls.

(for example: "They are some hot bitches!" or "I took my ho to a movie")

Pretty much just slang. Also it rhymes, so it works with the phrase "bros before hoes"
