I kind of want to find such a page for my city and see if anyone complains about me. Some of my neighbors seem very passive aggressive and don't talk to people. The perfect type to complain about something to the city instead of saying something in person (whether it's a valid complaint or not)

We have a guy like that in my neighborhood. He is retired and his proudest thing in the entire world is his yard and garden and other than mowing his grass he evidently has absolutely nothing better to do than to complain and gossip about neighbors. I won't even talk to him beyond the friendly wave because I give absolutely zero shits about neighborhood gossip.

On the one hand I have had appalling behaviour from neighbours that proved a nightmare to get anything done about (e.g. neighbour playing furniture-shaking loud-music literally all-night long on weekdays) and yet at the same time I never seem to get cut any slack about anything (e.g. on other occasions have have had death-threats about my TV being a bit too loud in very early evening).

Why can't it be organised so the insanely intolerant people are obliged to live next to the pathologically anti-social people, while all the normal reasonable people get to live next-door to each other way from both of them?

We tried that. It works for a bit then the colonies want independence and you don't have anywhere left to send the weirdos and ne'er-do-wells!

I had a woman explode on me that was about 70 running down the road. Great that she;'s out exercising but she went absolutely ape shit when my 15 year old teethless 11 pound dog "went after her".

I get it ..... probably some sort of previous dog attack trauma. I smiled (I'[m friendly) and apologized for the issue and grabbed my dog. Then she kept bitching about him being off leash. I just grabbed the dog and turned around and walked away. Some people are helpless.

I almost wanted her to call the dog warden so the dog warden could see the dog. Tell me the ordinance and laugh as he walked away.

Consider yourself lucky that people bitch... my neighborhood could stand for some of that instead of the extreme level of apathy people demonstrate. We have a lady that feeds the crows (don't ask me why- I called the city to complain and they said that while it was stupid, it wasn't illegal) so they are always around. Add to this that people living here are too stupid/cheap to buy garbage bins and prefer to just put their garbage out in bags so on every trash pick up day they end up with garbage strewn all over their lawn from the crows feasting. But of course instead of picking it up, they prefer to leave it there until the wind blows it away or they mow it over often enough times that it eventually gets too small to notice.

Diapers, bloody tampons, toothpaste tubes, enough bones and food waste to feed a small army, etc. that's a typical garbage day for us.

Do you live in Lagos or something?

As for the dogs ... I had a similar issue back in 2000-2001. The house next to me had been in the new neighborhood for a few months and I was resident #6. Even before we moved in their aggressive dog got loose and charged at me and tried to bite me. I seldom back done from a doggy challenge and charged back. Chicken shit. Still, I noted the incident as the dog wasn't use to 'other' people being about.

Second incident occurred three weeks later when the wife came home and parked in the garage. She left the door open to go get the mail from the mailbox. The dog bolted and bit her. I called the animal control office (police) and he said he would put the fear of a court appearance into the woman, the dog's owner. I had the option to have him cite her but I let it go. Two weeks after that I come home late one night from work at about half past Midnight. The other side of the street was still under construction. Dog got loose and was going through trash when I startled it.

Damn dog jumped up onto the hood of my car, which was still moving. I hit the brakes, dog goes flying and gets up even more pissed. I get into the garage, call the animal control officer again and he wants to wait until morning. I said, "Fine, let me call the newspaper instead." Officer shows up twenty minutes later, cites the woman, we go to court. While waiting on the court date, I load my Sig with fragmented safety rounds for future incidents while another neighbor offers to hunt the dog by bow and arrow.

Get to court, officer out of state on training and DA offers to drop the case with a message that the next time she will not be cited, but charged, arrested and prosecuted. I accept the terms and now the dog remained chained, instead of tied by rope. Two years later she moves out. I still have the Sig loaded.

Wut.

They aren't going to rehouse dangerous dogs.

When humans have debilitating psychological problems they are sometimes given a therapy dog, it helps them keep calm and live relatively normal lives. So what about giving an insane dog a therapy human? Hmm?

do they not care about these conflicts?
Apparently not. The suggestive threat I made to the animal control officer was that a family down at the corner go to church on Sunday mornings. And suggested that if the dog attacks them come daylight then the officer's name would be made aware to the newspaper. I guess that was enough to get him to put the donuts down.

Yep. I bet a lot of those complainers are retired. For a lot of people, when they retire their world shrinks. They spend more time at home so little things take on more importance to them.

They have these sites now where you can sign up so that you and your neighbors can talk. Like Myneighborhood. Uhhh, no thanks.

I was out front one day and a lady was walking by. She said that an older lady was taking her walk and told here there was "a blond lady scratching at the window to get out of hour house". The first lady went up and rang the doorbell. No blond lady came to the door. I guess it was my yellow whippet mix dog looking out the window. I have enough crazy in my life, I don't need other's inventing it for me.

Overly bright porch lights can be a legitimate annoyance.

The guest room of my parents house is at the front. There are some neighbors who like to keep their porch lights on all night. Said porch lights shine right into the guest bedroom. It's really annoying when I'm staying at my parents' place.

I suppose though I could just as equally complain to my parents about better blinds.

This, I'd also personally appreciate if lights as a whole were designed to point down instead of up/out (dark skies and all), but that's a personal thing and not something I'd go ranting about.

I grew up in an area where used needles and condoms all over the place was a thing. So the petty crap I hear now just makes me lol.

Sounds like you can create a list of people in your area that you can push into zombies that are chasing you so you can buy yourself more time during a zombie apocalypse!

Fact: the number of dangerous animals for any given breed is always > 0
Also fact: some breeds can do more damage than others
