you're using version 1.0 of the blizzard downloader. you need to download version 1.1

guys, the problem with the slow downloads is because your upload bandwidth gets saturated. if you use something like netlimiter to cap the upload speed of the BT client, you are in for a much faster download!

the grind in general is not as hard as most MMO's i've heard... the whole point is to focus on the endgame i think.

Took 21 hours to download it However, I was able to set up an account at midnight last night, so all I had to do is wait for thr DL while I was at work.

i had the forsight to grab another account for my friend, if he didn't want to play or got an account already, i'll give it to you.

funny you say that, i have an account but the software wont install on my machine. hence you should mail me your computer.

did you download from fileplanet instead? if not, perhaps it was a corrupted file? i can give you a private fileplanet account that was generously given to me last night from another AT member.

Nope, I used the official blizzard client. my install files check with blizzard's downloader as well as with a manual MD5 check posted on Blizzard's forums, so they should be fine. I'm getting this error:

Patch data is bad. (source CRC mismatch: 1041208862/1654796078) (BNUpdate:TCApply)

about 80% of the way through the initial install. any help would be appreciated.

You are lucky if they come back up after 2 hours past when they were suppose to be.

Just decided I can't afford WoW when it comes out.. even at 12.99 a month for a six month deal (not counting the price to buy the game itself) I just can't rationalize spending hundreds of dollars on a game from which I will not have anything permanent.. Now that I think about it.. At home over breaks I probably spend 30 bucks a month just on movie tickets.. so who knows, maybe it is worth the cost of entertainment ... grr.. inner struggles.
