The first 10-15 levels are fast, but it does slow down considerably later on. I'm 39 and it takes me quite a while actually to level now, because the XP you get from monsters/quests doesn't increase proportionaly along with the XP you need to level.

You can start professions after level 8, I think. You have to speak with a profession trainer according to what you want to learn. Remember you can only learn 2 primary professions, though there's no limit to the secondary ones (fishing, cooking, first aid).

You can start learning professions at level 5 I believe. There is a herbalism, alchemy, first aid, and cooking trainer in Dolanaar if I remember correctly. If you need help locating the trainer you are looking for ask a guard and they will put a flag on your mini-map marking the location.

As a Druid, I would recommend that you train in skinning/leatherworking or herbalism/skinning.

The first gives you an income and the ability to make your own armor (and armor kits to sell).

The second gives you two sources of income.

At level 40, I now make huges wads of cash from herbalism. I burned all my herbs at lower levels raising my alchemy skill.

same here.

I burn any herbs I use to raise alchemy and then sell off any potions or extra herbs.

I can usually get 2.5 gold for a stack of misc. potions that are yellow to me (current skill alch skill: 230).

Uldaman Update:

Mazonas and Shadowthrone helped me get most of the Uldaman pre-quests done. We would ahve gone further but we added two additional players to our group and we couldn't play with them any further. We had a priest that wouldn't heal and a warlock that thought he was a warrior.

I will need to venture into Uldaman again this week to complete the quests. If anyone wants to join me I'll be online Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evening this week.

if I can find a new quest spot to hold me over till my orange STV quests become yellow, I might be high enough level by Saturday to actually contribute something to a group

My Uldaman Update 2:

Bloodrunner, Jevonkearse, Mazonas, Wern, & myself did all the pre-instance quests last night. Jevon could only stay an hour and didn't have any of the quests so I'm expecting he will want to do them later.

After a quick run to IF we returned to Uldaman and added Sassy to our group. We when though the whole instance and complete all the quests. I picked up a better helm and 2H weapon as drops and got a better necklace as a quest reward.

I had a lot of fun and was well worth staying up until 2:00 am to complete the instance. Please let me know if anyone else needs to do the quests in or out of Uldaman and I'll be happy to join you.

I know I didn't quite complete all of the quests. I have to finish the Hammertoe line by first killing Infernus, which then leads you back in for the Lost Tablets of Will quest. I'm sure Artor will want to join every time someone goes near Galgann to get his Fireblaster (killed him twice and haven't seen it drop yet).

She has also provided her time to assist us with quests that where far below her level just to better the moral of our guild. I was kind of bummed that she snuck off and reached level 60 when no one was online (not sure if anyone was online when she hit 60). We should have held a ceremony in IF, got everyone in the guild together to launch fireworks and such. Now the rest of us have to hurry and catch up so she isn't left finding pickup groups for all the end-game instances (though it is taking me forever just to reach level 50 now...).

We invited Darde's sister and his boss to the guild Wednesday night. I also invited a new member with a level 19 warrior and 50 hunter. We might be able to get his 30 year old son to join as well.

I'm still talking with two other guilds about a merger. One is getting closer to switching if this happens I will be posting a guild charter and rules on KoN website so there isn't any confusion among the new members.

The sad thing is I'm hearing that a lot from various new guild members and how awesome our guild is because we talk and help each other out questing and sharing tradeskill items.
