Give a guy a fish and he'll eat it for one day,
give a nurd a drawing applet and this is what you get.

Ok, heres the story.

It's Billy's first day of school! He wakes up, does his thing, grabs his lunch box, and sets out to the bus stop. Things don't look so hot: badsign.JPG. He perserveres anyway, and runs into this in the hallway. He is sternly reprimanded for making a screaming at the sight of his teacher, and is sent to the principle as punishment.

At this point he wakes up, sweaty, in his bed, still safe and sound . . . or is he?

I love the bad sign. Are these your ideas? Or did you just copy the idea from somewhere else and use this form?

This applet could be used to create a comic strip soooo easily! It just seems to lend itself very well to the genre like Far Side and others.

edit: except the Sunday strip... gonna have to go to photoshop to add some more color to it.

These are all my ideas

I'd say my influence comes from three sources.

The main being Don Hertzfeldt (rejected, Billy's Balloon, Lily and Jim, etc.) but mostly only the art. The ideas/situations is a combination or Calvin and Hobbes and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.

Its lots of fun.

Another: flyingheads.JPG

Yeah, the art style is a take off of Don Hertfeldt's stuff. The robot scenes are basically direct from his animation show. But the poor little kid, I'm basically taking everything that kept me awake as a six year old and making it happen to him. hahaha. Poor little guy.

I should illustrate a children's book.

Used a Wacom Graphire3 on Homer. Rather inexpensive, and can be quite useful.
Cheater... optical mouse all the way baby.

I can perform with a mouse as well (insert circus freak comments here), but find I am a bit faster with something more resembling a writing instrument. It is more natural, as I only recently (within the past two years) began experimenting with digitial interface.
