If/when the GOP want to attempt to figure out why they are being smashed the last couple of elections, they might want to internalize their search at their attempts to cultivate a level of fear and bigotry that hasn't been seen in this country for decades.

They might also try to figure out how this type of campaigning is going to be viewed in states other than the deep south. After all, they are quickly becoming a regionalized party with zero, none, nada, zilch, nunca representation in the New England states.

Well, that's efficient if nothing else.

Republicans, this is the disease of your party.

It truly is.

They aren't smart enough to understand the real reasons the Democrat party sucks, and aren't smart enough to know the party they support doesn't support them.

Fuck country music. If it was a song about the secret of life in country format I'd pass on it

Hank Williams Jr. is no talent bigoted POS trading on his famous father's name. He's now a top contender to be named "Turd In The Punchbowl Of Life."

He may be a bigoted POS, but you don't have room to talk about having talent with your sig.

Thanks for your worthless opinion.

And thanks for the reference to my song. Please note that it doesn't spew foul bigotry in every syllable like Williams' song, and unlike Williams, I'm not trying to pimp an otherwise third rate musical career on the back of a famous father's name.

If you want to be a critic on equal footing, try posting a song you wrote, played and sang, and we'll talk.

Thanks refreshing the reference to Merle Haggard's tune. All it takes is three chords, six notes and one coherent message from the Okie From Muskogee. :music:

Rebuild America First
Words and music by Merle Haggard

Why don't we librate these United States?
We're the ones who need it the worst.
Let the rest of the world help us for a change,
And let's rebuild America first.

Our highways and bridges are falling apart.
Who's blessed, and who has been cursed?
There's things to be done all over the world,
But let's rebuild America first.

Who's on the hill and who's watching the valley?
Who's in charge of it all?
God bless the Army and God bless our liberty,
Dadgum the rest of it all.

Yeah, men in position but backing away.
Freedom is stuck in reverse.
Let's get out of Iraq and get back on the track.
And let's rebuild America first.

Why don't we liberate these United States?
We're the ones who need it the most.
You think I'm blowing smoke. Boys it ain't no joke.
I make twenty trips a year from coast to coast.

Note that there's no bigotry or hatred in Merle's song either. When you've lost Merle, you've lost. :music:

I repeat... Unlike that bigoted POS, Hank Williams, Jr., I'm not pretending to be any kind of third rate music star. I just posted my song for anyone who cares to listen.

I happen to work around the music biz and some top rate musicians and songwriters who happen to like my tunes. I know their talents and abilities. Your opinion is meaningless to me.

If you want to impress anyone, post your own songs for comparison, and we'll talk.

You forgot one ingredient. One bullshit agenda. As proven in that thread.

Merle's song should be in support of people like Ron Paul, not Mr. Barack "Let's send a billion dollars to Georgia" Obama.

That would be a valid request, if I had said that an award winning artist had no talent and had my own song in my sig.

Something about glass houses.......

Ron Paul is irrelevant in today's election. Today, we get to vote for what we can accomplish, today. Today, I will vote against bigotry and intolerance. Today, I will vote against four more years of the same disasters we have already suffered through eight years of the Bushwhacko traitors, murderers, war criminals, war profiteers and incompetents.

Today, I will vote for those who promise change away from all of that if for no other reason than the only alternative is promising more of McSame.

Just don't let yourself believe that Obama is about "Rebuilding America First," when it obviously isn't the case. Not when he supports sending many billions of dollars overseas. Otherwise, you're acting like a Republican who thinks his party is fiscally conservative. Great ideas, but not realities.

That about sums it up for most people on both sides, IMO. My wife called me a smug jerk for saying as much last weekend - "you think you're so enlightened with your anandtech and your books and you blame everything on the simpletons without realizing that most of those people don't have the luxury of sitting on an internet forum all day debating these things!" She's probably right about me, but I still think I'm right about most partisan types.

That's pretty much it. Only the brain dead will be voting third party or McSame, with the exception of those states that are certain to vote Obama and even that isn't smart in this time of disaster, in my opinion.

I'm loving this thread. The song shows the worst things about the Republicans this year.
And it's just another nail in the coffin of the Republican party.

Of course. You're going to vote on the shit stain you call conscious even though what you really mean is conscience.

You will be just one more wasted vote that doesn't cancel one for the disaster McSame.
