Don't be so judgmental. Laughing is considered a great activity that reduces stress and generates endorphins. We would all be lucky to be able to laugh at will.

I find that a respectable post. The others in this thread are being lowlife assholes. And BTW, John has been seeking help and is on the road to recovery according to what he has said.

OP, I hope you returned home in good condition and that those in your SQD or whatever your unit it fared well too.

And as for the drinking, I have yet to experience the excitement of combat, and not knowing your MOS (btw, what are you?), I'd say anger and drinking is common solutions to PTSD-like symptoms. Talk to someone, anyone - friends, family, professionals. Don't wanna go down that road of misery.

Well first time was and 11B (Infantry) and now this time reclassed and became 19D (Cav Scout) both very in your face kind of jobs. Just the way I like it.. you don't get much rank really fast but boy you get to blow alot of Stuff up!!
