Why not? You could write software pretty easily to discover drug mismatches and interactions. It would probably be better than having a person do it where you depend on their memory.

You could just have a giant database of all known drug interactions and issues that the software could interact with based on the patients prescription and medical history.

Idk, but part of me thinks that with a person you have liability, specifically the pharmacist who dispenses the medication but if it's a machine and it makes a mistake then there is a new area of liability. I'm not so sure that things are so simple when it comes to legal liability.

Also, unless my understanding is wrong, isn't the area not entirely black and white regarding what medicines the patient takes? I thought that there were judgement calls regarding what drugs the patient might take etc. if certain drugs were not able to be used. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't really know.
