Umm, this isn't uncommon. As long as it falls into fairly clean water and dries off completely, most electronics should be perfectly fine. I've dropped my laptop into a puddle before, when my laptop bag ripped open. I let it dry and it was fine. I love my Thinkpad.

Now drop it into the Ocean and come back to me.

The biggest risk you took was plugging it in so soon. I've personally washed electronics in a sink, then dried them in an oven (set to low), reassembled the piece, and it worked just fine. (Someone spilled a can of pepsi on a stereo; fortunately, it wasn't plugged in at the time.)

My wife has an iphone. I have an AT&T tilt. I would give my left nut for an iphone. Can't have one because work won't allow me to have a phone with a camera. So it is the tilt for me.

The tilt SUCKS ASS compared to the iphone in every way.

No one in the world can change your mind - your comparison isn't fair enough for anybody besides you to use.

I used to hate Apple a lot, but their on screen keyboard is amazing, the OS it runs on is great (You can have multiple browsers running, can your Windows Mobile do that?), etc. Yes, there isn't a copy/paste that I know of. You can unlock it without too much trouble - I have maybe 4 or 5 friends that have done it. Apple released the SDK and so you shouldn't even need to unlock it in the future once things get developed.

Overall, if you like your Tilt, BlackJack, etc., then great, but there's a reason the iPhone made the cover of time, and an Apple hater like me switched over.
