Watch = time keeping device ($10-$20)

Watch = Bling (useless device that can cost more than a car)

My last two watches, a Fossil and a Timex, both shit the bed. In fact, I've never had any watch that lasted more than 2 or 3 years. What am I doing wrong?

Anyway, I'd like a nice watch like a Skagen, Sieko or Citizen, but it doesn't seem like any of them have a back light. What the hell good is a watch that you can't see in the dark? I don't want to open my cell phone to illuminate my watch to see the time. The luminous hands only stay luminous for a couple of hours. I want something that I can wake up and see the time. I like this one posted earlier, but it doesn't appear to light up:

Uh, luminescent hands? No "nice" watch has a backlight. Funny that a Timex failed you though. Those suckers are tough. I even put mine in an ultrasonic cleaner we have at work multiple times with zero issues.

And CoinOperatedBoy, while I have no problems with Fossil there really isn't any comparison between them and Hamilton.

Someone posts a thread asking about wrist watches, with the title "Wrist watches", and you post this.

Technology marches on. Wrist watches are so last century. This is better than a wrist watch. Wrist watches rub on all those scars you obtained when you were a little emo punk.

The only scars I have are the ones I earned in battle. I suggest you learn your place and show some respect kid.

Getting into the feet on your pajamas is not usually described as a "battle" even if you did injure yourself in the process.

my new fascination is skeleton watches, but they seem to be ultra-expensive

Seagull has a movement that is often used in a skeleton watch. I have seen it used in their own skeleton watch, and a few other low end brands for around $100 or so.

Looks like the US retailer for Seagull's website is down. They wanted something around $180-$200 for the watch. A bit overpriced but it is a nice looking watch. I just cannot remember who else was using that movement now that I think about it. Fossil may have had a skeleton.
