I bought a pair of A-Wires from Ashford.Com at the end of February. The first time I tried them on, they fit OK. Gradually I started to notice the frame was "out of balance," if you know what I mean. I asked my cousin if the frame was off, and she said yeah. If you look at the nose pieces, they aren't symmetrical. Therefore, the right side of the frame always has the sense of being pushed up against my eye (vs. the left one). Then my friend tried them on (who had the polarized pair) and he said that the frame is messed up (this was during June). I took them back once (before June), but all they did was re-bend the earpieces, a temporary solution which I thought did it.
After my trip, I take them back to Oakley (drive down the Foothill freakin Ranch) to get adjusted (the earpieces are out of whack and what not) and mention that the frame is unbalanced. He looks at them and acknowledges that they are uneven, but that they "don' sell them like that." Basically telling me that I did it myself. However, if you look at them, there is no way I could have done that myself to the glasses. I even tried to bend them back with my hands to see if I could balance them, but no luck. I think because of this, the lens is creeping out of its socket. And, if you look where the lenses and the nosebridge meet, they don't look the same on both sides.
I took them on my 3.5 week tour of Asia, and I question their durability. I mean, with their glasses, you have carry them in a metal case if you don't want them to get messed up, which shouldn't happen with the price you pay. Are the earpieces supposed to be that bendable? I set the glasses upside-down to see the earpieces, and they are constantly uneven.
