Yeah, that was kind of a weird one for me on one contract, writing software that would be used in some kind of pharmacy dispatch display board... there was a section for the reason they were dispatching and one of the items was "patient actively dying". I'm not a surveyor and the newer stuff might be crap. Who knows? I do know that the guy I mentioned is a perfectionist. 6" off on a property marker would make him want to shoot someone.Time to update the software?
Yup. I have a 2kpro vm I use to interface with my collector. I could do it all in gnu/linux, but it's faster in windows. There's some secret sauce the company used to speed up transfers, and they're out of business, so I can't ask. Overhaul? We should all wish. A little updating would be a good start but no one will do that because if its not " feasible" no one will do it.
