FWIW, some industry big-wigs have confirmed they do exist and do fulfill the promise of better crossfire support.

I've read that its going live around 1pm central today. The driver page is already up, but password protected.

Was disappointed in the lack of reviews this morning. If the results are good I'm probably going to throw in a second 7950. However if the delay is just for a single day then I can only conjure up some mild annoyance to the lack of a delay announcement.

Yes, these drivers are supposed to improve crossfire performance.
