Yes, toxic shock and damage to your heart valves is not cool. Strep is a nasty thing.

I just got back from the Dr and stumbled on this thread. Had the same symptoms minus the fever & s/t. Dr said it's a severe cold, possibly leading to bronchitis, but because of the lack of throat irritation/inflamation it's most likely just a bad cold. I've had the cough for about 2 mos though so he thinks that might be asthma related so I'm also on an inhaler. Coupled with my diabetic meds, I'm gonna need a pill organizer by tonight.

I'm also a victim. Had the fever of 103 last Thursday, broke in the night and struggled into work on Friday (I'm not one of those people, but I had a meeting about the next few critical weeks of a project). Still got a cough but otherwise feel pretty good if a bit tired.

The only time I've been affected this long by chronic bronchitis, was when my house was ridden with mold and mildew unbeknownst to me. My neighbors plumbing was slowly leaking water throughout my walls and ceiling and mildew and mold had filled all of the sheet-rock space. This apparently went on for months before it affected me as they advised me the leak couldn't have been new.

The government created this new strain to get all the people who don't get the flu shot. You know, the shot they charge 25 bucks for and the taxes the government is counting on.
