You should reconsider whether or not you're lactose intolerant. It might not even be lactose, it could be caseine.

Try having a small cup of coffee, black, NOTHING in it. See what happens. If you end up with the same reaction, then you know you need to avoid coffee. You might also want to see a doctor to have your gall bladder checked, because the coffee itself might not be hurting you, but the sudden stimulation of bile release that is hurting. So in other words, this could actually be a serious problem and this is a hint to get it looked at.

My wife had this exact problem. Took her doctors about 4 years to decide it must be the gall bladder. Had it removed and things improved immediately.

yeah, try it black first (as a lot of others have already mentioned) and go from there.
i dont like coffee, but i do drink it in the mornings. i used to doctor it up a lot to try to make it appealing and every time i drank it i felt like S H I T. so much so that i stopped drinking it for a while.
i recently started drinking again...this time with only a little flavored creamer (as opposed to the creamer/ton of sugar combo previously tried). has made a world of difference. i was actually surprised at the difference in how i feel.

still dont like coffee tho

You do realize that a latte is mostly steamed milk and a shot of expresso? It may be a lactose issue than anything.

And on the Starbucks Pumpkin Latte's, I get them non-fat, no cream and they kick ass. One of my favorites.

I don't understand you folks! Coffee is awesome. I drink it every day with half & half and Splenda.

I used to not drink it so much in the summer, but it really makes my mornings better.

It could also be just that you're allergic to Starbucks. I know I am

Could be intolerance to either Pumpkin, Spice, Milk or a combination of either. Not necessarily the coffee itself.

Maybe, I have ruled out everything because.. I have consumed all of them and never faced a single problem. This is not the first time I had this problem.. and always coffee was in my diet that day. By systematic rejection, I conclude that it was coffee that is causing me this trouble(For now).

I am going to try a cup of black coffee on Saturday morning to confirm or rule out the possibility of coffee.

I agree with the post regarding the acidity of coffee. One way you can drastically lower the acidity is to brew the coffee cold. You mix the grounds with water (use much less water than you would if you were making regular coffee, you are trying to make a concentrate). Let the mixture sit in the fridge for 12+ hours then use a coffee filter to strain out the grounds. Then add however much water you need to to achieve the desired potency and heat it up. I am very sensitive to acidic foods and drinks and this process worked wonders for me. good luck!

Yesterday evening.. I tried Starbucks's Pumpkin Spice Latte(part of their fall offering).. and I am going through hell right now. I haven't had much sleep as I was constantly going to the bathroom the whole night.. and it was extremely painful too. ?
Sorry bro but your liver is dying. For a normal person like me, the effects of caffeine are mostly gone after about 3 hours, give or take. In someone who has advanced liver failure, it takes entire days to get caffeine out of the system. If you're taking all night to get it out of your system, then you're one foot in the grave already.

All the people saying its the sugar, uh, did you read the OP? He's having frequent painful bowel movements (I assume its that and not urinary).

The Milk could've been but he already said that doesn't cause him problems.

I thought it was pretty well known that for some people coffee does not sit well with their digestive tract? Actually its not just some people, even those that can tolerate coffee often reference its impact on their bowels when consuming a lot.

Considering the OP said he'd had this problems other times with coffee, I don't really get people saying its sugar.

Maybe some of the flavoring, but I doubt it'd be enough to cause this unless he drank a whole ton of it.

Could just be a bug (as in germs) though.

I have weirdly varying reactions to coffee. Most of the time, I just have one cup and I'm fine, it doesn't even feel like it's affecting me. However, if I have way too much (like I did when I first discovered the joys of Starbucks), I feel terrible, like way too jittery and headaches. Also, if I have it on an empty stomach it's very bad news. Last time I did that I threw up. So yeah, anywhere from no effect to vomiting depending on the situation.

1 cup gives me a stomach ache. 2 cups makes me shit my pants. 3 cups I am jittery and can't even wipe up my ass because my stomach hurts too bad.
