WTF: Dual Tualatin 1.26Ghz

I got these 4 of these guys, fresh w2k install, install rc5 using windows installer and it only cranks out 3.5 - 5.5 mkeys, I see people getting 7s. It also say processor type not detected and running some microcode benchmark..

I also download new version thinking my old one was too old and still processor type not detected... I like to max out the keys... let me know any tuning..

Dual 1.26 w/512k
2GB Memory
Only W2k & SP2 running, no other services or crap installed yet..

That's from my Tyan S1832DL w/ dual P3 800's @ 824 each running Win2K no service packs.

Got it to work.. for some reason, during the first few cycles, it gos from 3.5 to 5.5 to 7.01 and stays at 7.01..

The old one prior to my update today only goes up to 3.5 with 2 processor.. thanks !

If I were you, I would trade with a seti person. The tualin has 512 cache among other things, and I am guessign that would pretty much own in SETI..

geez I guess what gogeeta13 said! My lowly little P3 @ 980mhz does almost 7 by itself - one cpu!!!
That rig would really put out the seti, if you are at all interested in a trade (or using it for seti during our race) that would really truly rock!!!

and wiz, I dont know where you found that magic p3, but I have a p3@940 doing 2.54 and a dual 550 doing 3.0 and anandtech speed page says a 980 would do 2.7mkeys.

heheheh.... ok it's been a while since I ran RC5 and maybe the speed keeps growing in my head the longer I am away

Just looked in my old log file and it says 2.7 !!! Imagine that!!!
Maybe the 7 number comes from what my fleet was doing. P3 @ 870mhz, P3 @ 900mhz and P3@980mhz would be about 7 right?
Sorry about that - guess the aliens got to my brain there!

Micron, obviously not, it seems that we are only part of the ONE team if we run seti. I dont come into seti threads and try to recruit people for rc5, that is just undeniably downright rude and you should be ashamed. Every rc5 thread I read anymore ends with several posts talking that person into going to eccp or seti...so, no, it looks to me that we are no longer one team. From now on, I am going to go into EVER SINGLE SETI THREAD I SEE AND ASK THE PARTICIPANTS TO COME OVER TO THE RC5 TEAM.

bot2600-this is a little different. There's a competition going on with DSLR. There's no excitement with RC5. Nobody's challenging our manhood (or womanhood) there. I had almost forgotten about SETI@Home until I read one of the recruiting posts. It's not like it took me away from RC5, I wasn't running anything (Well, I did forget about that PPro180. ). Let them recruit all they want until the race is over. I want to win!!!
