WTF??? Gas prices up 20 cents in like 3 days!

I just paid $1.79 tonight, it was $1.66 last week. BTW - i only use premium, so the actual price should be about 20 cents cheaper for regular

Yes, but in the population centers in California, the cost of living is higher. Here 1 gallon of gas is about 23% of the average hourly wage (about $7/hr, $1.60/gal).

A bit more than that in the UK. The cheapest grade at the cheapest supermarket that I've seen works out at US$ 4.60 per US gallon.

The price in Europe varies widely due to locally differing levels of taxtion e.g. in Luxembourg the price is one third that in the UK.

Then you have a UK car doing 46mpg with AC on, and a US SUV doing 20mpg with AC on, so they work out at about the same cost.

Gas always goes up for the weekend.. but yesterday we drove from Prince Edward Island to Toronto, Ontario and in New Brunswick gas was .87/litre.... in Montreal it was $.84/litre and Ontario was $.69/litre

Ya it went from 1.69 here to 1.83 overnight... i'm sure it went up even more today. I think the next biggest scam after Insurance is the gas companys...

really? gas is ~1.50 for the cheap stuff on the west side of houston.
