Wtf.. I'm still hungry, what happened to McD portion?

I just got a big mac combo- I love their fries and got the large size. And I got a 4 pc nugget.

Wtf happened to Big Mac? It should be called small mac. The damn thing now fits in my small Asian hand.

I finished the whole thing and I'm still hungry. No I'm not fat- 180 lbs at 5'11".

Freaking spent $9.50 and not satisfied.

Is it actually smaller? I haven't had one in a while but when I was in my teens, I had to get 2 for it to be substantial.

Same thing that's happened to almost everything, the companies are making the portions smaller and charging you more for it. Of course, they will tell you that if they don't downsize the portion, they will not be able to hold the price in check and that it will knock many more people from enjoying a smaller version of their product.

Disclaimer: I'm assuming that the OP is correct in that the Big Mac is actually smaller. While I know that other restaurants have went to smaller burgers, I don't know if McDonalds has went smaller on the Big Mac (it wouldn't surprise me though).

Much as I hate to admit it I ate a Big Mac for lunch in high school almost every day in the 70's, and was skinny then.

Where about a buck then I believe.

Actually in the 70 think I got one, fries, and a coke for a buck.

Yeah. I remember $2 for 2 big mac specials. But I think that was regional or franchise promotion rather than national. But 25 cents cheeseburger was national and like every Tuesday or so promotion. And I do remember 10 cents hamburger specials. I used to get sack full of burgers for like $2.

since McD raised the prices of the mcdouble from $1 to $1.19, the best bang for the buck is now the $2 everything pizza slice at Costco
