It also says our attack on Yugoslavia and the presence of US and Canadian troops in Kosovo is 'illegal'. Should we put Milosevic back in power and try Chretien and Clinton for war crimes? That is what Amnesty International has called for under Article 51 of the UN charter.

An illegal war is one that you lost, and the winner declared you illegal. Last time that I checked, I found that Saddam was no longer in power, and the U.N. was toothless.

Let's talk about the U.N......France, Germany, and Russia in particular have been foes of the United States for over 200 years. They are also the three most veto happy members of he U.N. security council when it comes to opposing the United States. For those who think that the French were on the side of the Unted States during the American Revolution, you are foolng yourself. The French were Anti-England, and NOT pro-U.S. The Germans have been busy plotting world domination for close to two thousand years, and he Russians have been at war with everyone (including themselves) since time began. China is Xenophobic, and that explains their stance well enough.

So who again decides what is illegal??? The victor of the conflict? It certainly should not be left to a hostile foreign consortium of sorts to decide what is legal as far as any country outside of their own.

You seriously need to read up on your history. Near the White House there's a statute of a man named Lafayette.

It's illegal because the organization that we created says it is and because any reasonable construction of the itnernational laws we were binded by shows that we breached them.

You mean like every time we veto for Israel? Yesterday was the 29th time, actually we veto against pretty much anything that has something to do with Israel.

Considering the UN replaced the League of Nations about sixty years ago I'd say the world "new" doesn't exactly fit. It's not as though the UN has changed much since WW2, so it would be "flip flopping," which is, of course, the CARDINAL POLITICAL SIN. :roll:

well maybe not 200 but we were at war with france in the early 1800s and also in late 1942. germany of course did not exist until 1873, so not really, and russians... we didn't pay them much attention until the october revolution (we invaded them shortly after)

well maybe not 200 but we were at war with france in the early 1800s and also in late 1942. germany of course did not exist until 1873, so not really, and russians... we didn't pay them much attention until the october revolution (we invaded them shortly after)

We were fighting against Vichy France which was in essence Nazi Germany. Anyway, you neglect all the cooperation. Your Euro-hating is absurd and one-sided.
