WTF is this thread, more BS from OT spilling into the "important" parts of AT?

Keep it to PM's and seriously alkemyst, you wonder why everyone gangs up on you sometimes, you make it too easy with this kind of crap.

ahh take your douche and wash the sand out of your vagina.

Just a bit of wisdom...only 'douches' use the word douche.

Clearly this is based on experience for you?

just a general observation by those using this word here.

They don't get out.

They don't have decent g/f's or any for that matter.

They usually live at home.

They define the word.

I don't 'wonder why', I question how they can be so moronic. People like to attack the poster and not the issue.

Well, what they should be saying is that they bought a "new" car and that's it, not "new" to me. Although the car is not "new", it is new to them, I just don't see why they need to convey that to anyone, the year and mileage speak for themselves.

except once they mention 'new' why ask what year and mileage?

"I just got a 2001 Yohimbo Special" is much clearer and indicates it's not a car they have had already.

I'd have to agree about using the words "new-to-me". The connotation isn't any better than used so just say used or nothing at all.

I wish I had so much extra time to worry about what someone calls their used car they just bought.

There is no issue.

I'm going to use New-to-Me from now on.

I don't really understand why people say "I just bought a new-to-me X." Uhh, no s__t. When was the last time someone bought an old-to-them X? Doesn't the fact you just bought it, automatically imply that no matter what it was, it is new to you?

I'm sure it stems from the luxury brands not being happy with the term "used" which is why they started to referring to them as "pre-owned". Just like political correctness the only change is the words.

Is it really ruffling your feather that the people who just bought the car would like to think of it as new to them? "New to Me" makes a hell lot more sense than "Used to Me"

So what is this? If you buy a home, what do you tell your friends and family? "We just bought an old house." Same concept with the cars.
