This just in... many commercials are completely pointless or fail to properly market the product.

I saw the a new Lincoln commercial with matthew mcconaughey today. He was in a diner, at night, waiting for the rain to stop for most of the commercial and then when it did stop he went and got in his car and opened the sun roof. Awesome!

And I'm sure there were a lot of wet panties out there when that commercial came on. These women will now associate Lincoln with a hot* actor.


* You may or may not agree with that assessment, but many women do find him attractive.

Yeah, but that commercial works. The formula for why is pretty simple:

Matthew McConaughey = Cool Dude
Matthew McConaughey is sitting in a Lincoln
Therefore sitting in a Lincoln makes you a Cool Dude

Commercial works because the poster knew it was a Lincoln commercial. Same with the OP, he not only knows it is a Toyota commercial but a Camry as well.
