Why? Other things in the picture look odd too. The guy's head and hand look blurred. It was taken indoors, and it doesn't look like a flash was used, so the camera likely needed a long exposure time. I also doubt that she was holding perfectly still, so there would be some motion blur introduced.

Eh, doesn't look that ridiculous. Yeah, some of the fur is blurry but so are other parts of the picture. It's not like a cat that size is unheard of.

Wrong. There are rabbits that big, mostly European breeds. I saw a thing on Animal Planet about giant rabbits a while ago.

That cat's not that big for a male cat.

And I don't think the pic is that weird. As previously stated, taken w/o flash and slow shutter would make the blur. The cat doesn't look like it likes being held. It was probably squirming.
