No way. If they were already established as serious actors, these roles would not have affected their careers. Both of them are just beginning their careers and playing a gay role would definitely not help them.

No way. If they were already established as serious actors, these roles would not have affected their careers. Both of them are just beginning their careers and playing a gay role would definitely not help them.

well thats the thing...its heath freaking ledger...he hasn't played any real deep roles...i think this could make his career, especially w/ ang lee behind the project and all that.

he is a pretty good actor. i think he just tends to be in crap in american films.
edit: and there is no way it will break their career unless it just stinks that bad.
the entire cast is well-established, generally well-respected and decent actors in both the industry and the public eye. it would have to be a hideous film to detroy them.
this isnt a cottage film with unknowns. this is a huge cast and crew.
