WTF is with my Core i7

I built this for work. Totally barebones. The Windows Search Indexer isn't even running. WTF is causing these spikes in the CPU? Any ideas. My PC at home has no trouble when I load Outlook. Same version and all. Check out the pics.. this is ridiculous.

It looks like a software problem with that search/indexing service, which definitely is running, perhaps as a service. Or a malware of some kind. Not a CPU problem in any case.

Looks like you have Google desktop. That's probably the indexing system running.

I had very similar issue with outlook on a corporate build(crappy single cpu box) at the office. Is there a trickle of network activity also occurring? Mine was some weird out of sync loop with the exchange server. Try forcing your outlook to offline mode, and then back to online mode.

corporate desktop support had no idea.. they even gave me more memory that took the constant sucking of resources down from 50-70% to 30% (still using the same resources, but now it looks better). It wasn't till a network outage forced me into offline mode, and the re-sync going back to online mode fixed my issue.

you mentioned Outlook. Is your problem only when your running Outlook?

Try running " Process Explorer "

It will give you a much more detailed report of what is using CPU than Task Manager..
