Hmmm.....you were surfing, yet lingered long enough on MTV to catch kissing, caressing and the name of the show? Were you just waiting for "Will and Grace" to come back from a commercial break or what?i was surfing the channels when i saw this 2 guys (gays rather) competing with one another to win the heart of another gay. They kissed, caressed, etc. Man, good thing i was holding the remote, not my kids! R they running out of ideas on TV??

Well it's comforting to know that your kids are on their way to hating homosexuals, or at least planning to hate them if they ever meet one.
How do you explain to a 7 yr old kid when she sees 2 guys kissing??? its perfectly understandable if we're talking about 12 - 14 y.o. Also, i have no intention whatsoever of teaching my kids to hate somebody becuase of the color of the skin, sexual preference, etc. That scene is just hard to explain to toddlers, plain and simple.

Well. You could say something along the lines of "Those men are gay. They are attracted to other men, and that's ok."
or you could continue to breed hate. your choice.
If someone condemns black people and I call that person ignorant, do I look silly? What is the difference? Where is the line drawn? (and doesn't everyone look silly alot of the time anyways? )You realize that some people have religious or moral beliefs that don't allow them to agree with homosexuality right? You can continue to be flat out ignorant and think that anyone who doesn't agree with homosexuality is a backwards hate filled person but you look rather silly.

Now don't jump to that conclusion, they may be young. I think that seeing gay couples (continually) could confuse them at a young age...
If two guys making out is the worst thing kids see on TV today then they are lucky.

Wow, three incredibly intelligent responses in about 5 minutesWhat each one of you failed to grasp is there is a difference between not agreeing with something and condeming it. Perhaps you don't want your child to have purple hair because you don't agree with that. Does that mean you hate people with purple hair? Obviously according to you three mensa's it does but in reality it's not true. Do you hate all the people that are of a different political party than you just because you disagree with them? It seems like a fairly simple concept to me.
The thing I find most ironic about all this is people who preach tollerance are usually the most intollerate people out there. They just focus their intolerance in a different, more acceptable direction. That direction being people that don't agree with them. Nice line of hypocrisy you all have running there. Let me know how it works out for you.

You missed the point. I'm not sure any toddler needs to see two people pawing each other, but the rather vehement way he condemned MTV for showing it at all was what I took issue with.
