Who cares about coldfusion being bad or asp having security issues? Whatever.
The site is still loading slowly and they apparently picked up new servers. I ran a traceroute and it appears to slow down the closer it gets to forums.anandtech.com. It gets pretty slow when I hit the sprint routers. It is not so bad when I use another router outside my AS.

I have also tried from my dsl and school account.
The same thing happens. Mainly the page just times out from my dsl or school. It gets a lot slower at sprint using my dsl and hop count goes up by two.

Isn't it farily obvious. Your traceroute indicates some timeouts, that would cause quite a bit of latency, this will slow response time. Right now the servers are feeding content in under 2 tenths of a second. I will place a call into the NOC for the sprint issues.

According to that tracerout sprint is fine, the problem is near the top on an internal abovenet router.... is jumps from 10ms to 100ms over 1 hop. ALL of your traffic going throu there will receive some lag

Wow, I learned a lot from reading these threads After doing a tracert on my own computer, I see it's not the Anandtech servers that are slow. I am still exasperated with how slow the Forums are at my end, but apparently there's not much that can realistically be done about that?
