WTF!!!!!! - Virginia Tech

Within the past two weeks my college has had two (2) bomb threats and classes in those and surrounding buildings were all cancelled. I just found out that there was a shooting in one of the dorms just a couple of minutes ago.

One complete side of campus is locked down with cops, I just had a cop with a loaded shotgun walk into my class and tell us to stay put.

My bus was stopped on its way to campus at 9:45 and told to stay put, just had to walk back to get to my apartment. They're saying on the news that all they know is that there have been two shooting "incidents" today in AJ (a dorm). The gunman is still loose, and no confirmation on if anyone was killed/injured.

Anyone in Blacksburg, stay indoors and stay safe.

Edit: They just confirmed (on the news) that at least one person has been killed and another injured.

Armed society is a polite society...this idiot would be dropped in 2 seconds had people been allowed to carry...that - or he would not have done it in the first place because he would know he'd get himself killed first.

Latest news updates on TV say that the first incident was in AJ around 7 and the second was in Norris around 10. The police have one person in custody now, but the campus is still locked down.

I started a thread about this at another forum. A student posting there heard that a man shot his (ex?) girlfriend and her RA, not sure which is dead though. It is hearsay at this point, but FWIW...
