I don't disagree with you there. People are the ones that pull the trigger. But the comments that made me throw my 2 cents were the ones regarding the law being passed to restrict students from carrying guns on the Tech campus. People were saying that had students been allowed to carry guns that it would have defused the situation and that just does not add up to me. I think you and I got caught in a different argument.

Maybe you need to check your math then junior, cuz it sure as hell adds up to me. What's so hard to figure out about being able to defend yourself? The only thing banning guns will do is put all the guns into the hands of criminals and out of the hand sof law abiding people. Dumbasses like yourself make me sick....

And how some of them have been wrong. Like someone saying there are 2 shooters then later CNN says they do that as SOP, not because there are 2 shooters.

So did CNN, they reported the same inititally. And I like knowing when something is happening as soon as it is happening. Stop argueing a stupid subject.

No they said they were looking for a 2nd shooter but they did not know if there was one as its SOP to do so.

It's a fact. Assault rifles and shotguns in the hands of a individual with minimal training will inflict more damage then a handgun. Thinks about this scenario.... I'm at the end of a long hallway with an assault rifle, you are at the opposite end of a long hallway with a handgun. Who do you think has the advantage? If the shooter today had them cornered in a small classroom, then a handgun would certainly be just as deadly.

what are you confused about? rudee made a valid point and i would agree that this guy had to be a very accurate shot to kill this many. most random shootings have several wounded for every death.

you don't have to be accurate at all. as long as you hit the person they could bleed to death. this isn't the movies where the hero can be shot 6 times and still kill all the bad guys.

wow and i was gutted when some douche let off CS gas and shot a bouncer 3 times in my university. people at VT must be hella scared.

im in the UK by the way...where gun crime is starting to become the norm, its progressed quickly from the odd knife attack to people getting shot over parking spaces almost over night. still despite the rough area my university is in (basically without the uni the town has zero reason to exist, yet the local chav/roughians really dislike students) people getting shot was un-heard of. a few beatings and general loutish behavior, but not running into a crowded union building, letting off some kind of gas and shooting a man 3 times. that was horrible....this is just unbelievable.
