He was not on a student visa. He was a resident alien.Originally posted by: Queasy
The reports also said that he had a receipt for one of the guns. He must have gamed the system some how because you're not supposed to be able to buy a gun on a student visa.

If the Imus thing had happened a week later, he'd still be on the radio.

Can anyone confirm that the gunman walked into a German class in Norris hall and opened fire?
Yes, he did, according to this article. TextOriginally posted by: GTaudiophile

Two students told NBC's "Today" show they were unaware of the dorm shooting when they walked into Norris Hall for a German class where the gunman later opened fire.
Erin Sheehan, who was in the German class near Calhoun's room, told the student newspaper, the Collegiate Times, that she was one of only four of about two dozen people in the class to walk out of the room. The rest were dead or wounded, she said.

I wonder how long he was a student at the college? They say he was a senior but he could have transfered over.
VT is going to close all week now which is much more appropriate than starting school back up tommorrow as was reported they planned earlier. My college had a shooter in one of the lecture halls next to mine but one of the students manages to subdue him but he was shoot in the groin in the process and can no longer have kids. Sued the college but not sure how much he got or if he was paid off.
I skipped class that day, so missed the entire thing.
Classed the next day back on schedule no breaks.
Oh, the guy said he had a computer chip in his brain and the government was controlling him.

How big were each classes? The four rooms Cho Seung-Hui entered and fired upon, the remaining survivors and previous passerby's in the building couldn't identify or relate to him, didn't run into any friends or anybody who may have recognized him?
Interested to know what if any conversation took place prior or during the shootings, whether anybody he fired upon were his friends or enemies or had a grudge on.
Does either building have security cameras either in the hallway, at entrance ways, or in the rooms?
Also interested to review all the cellphones of the deceased to see if any photos or video clips were taken prior to the shooting, or anything that may tie some of the victims to the shooter and tell a better story.
During the morning conference update, they mentioned the same weapon used at both sites but didn't state it was tied to the same person. Would fingerprints not clarify that?
