Speer's brass is nickel plated in all the gold dot 9mm loads I've shot, it actually looks like he did use the cheap stuff, winchester white box personal protection hollow points to be specific.

My question was more about the uses for those types of bullets for things other than shooting people.

Isn't shooting people enough? Sometimes people need to be shot...

Aside from his worthless arguments, the professor's response is very moving. It was also amusing to read D'souza get owned. I actually laughed a bit when he said that atheists blame god.

She said that "anyone seeking sympathy for this killer because he was bullied makes me sick". How can she lose that point? Are you going to argue that it doesn't make her sick?

And she also said, "There is no excuse for his actions. He has no excuses".

This is a statement that I totally agree with. Do you know what an excuse is? It's like, "Sir, I couldn't submit my homework on time because my car broke down and I missed the class." and the professor going, "Okay, that's a valid excuse, I'll accept your late homework".

What's Cho's excuse? "Sir, I was bullied in junior/high school and decided to kill as many innocent people in college as possible. And none of them were the actual bullies and some of them might have even stopped a bully in their past. Heck some of them might have even shown kindness and friendship to the weak and defenseless people that I claim I am being a martyr for -- who knows? I'm just a crazy scumbag!

When I was "bullied" by that guy on the school bus, I did fantasize about fighting him. But I never had any desire to hurt everybody else in the school. Or to hurt everybody in another school. There would be no excuse for something like that.

There's a danger to trying to portray Cho as a victim because similar kids will use him as an example. The same thing happened with the Columbine kids. I do not want to see a copycat killer using Cho as an example of a martyr like Cho used the Columbine kids as his example.

I'm not saying that bullying isn't a problem. No kid should feel threaten in school. But we can't really be sure how bad Cho was bullied. His mental illness probably magnified the events. How much of it was in his head?

Also, I would like to point out that e-bullying is not much different than real life bullying. There was a recent example of a female tech blogger who received so much hateful emails and messages that she canceled going to a conference because she felt unsafe.

Even on ATOT, I'm sure some of you have noticed that there are some people who seem to "follow" you around the forum and try to provoke you. If that type of behavior ruins your enjoyment of this forum then why isn't it any different from real life bullying?

Is it possible to stop bullying? I think we can stop the most egregious ones (the ones that involve physical threats). But this behavior seems universal and goes across all cultures that part of me thinks it (the more milder forms) is necessary for normal emotional growth (like how baby rats play fight to establish a social hierarchy). Another problem is interpretation. Guys goof on each other all the time. My brothers and I goof with each other. Being able to goof on someone is a sign of closeness.

However, sometimes when someone tries to playfully tease someone else that "playful tease" might be misinterpreted as ridicule.

i was essentially bullied for for 2 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 3 months (was on a HS soccer team with a lot of fvcktards). i came THIS close to going ape$hit on them, but i didn't. getting bullied doesn't give you an excuse to go kill/hurt people. if anything, it shows that you lack the willpower to control your emotions and your actions.
