also, Mavericks is a stupid name. while the cat names were somewhat silly, they at least were kind of fun. basically Apple wen 1 for 3 today to me. the mac os updates were very boring and most of the things they showed did not interest me much. the mac pro is one of the stupidest things i have seen, but iOS 7 is looking awesome.

Yup. That might make iOS 7 usable on the iPhone 4. Or at least usable for my wife. iOS 6 is already too slow on the iPhone 4 for me, but a lot of people love their iOS 6-endowed iPhone 4 phones.

P.S. How the hell to pluralize "iPhone 4" without making it sound like I'm talking about the iPhone 4S?!?

Considering iOS7 supports true multi-tasking, it's going to be hell on single core devices.

I'm worried it's going to be hell period. A multi-core processor won't do much to change the fact that things that are running in the background are things that are chipping at your battery.

Yeah but the way the rumors have been flying about it being a June-July release time I had hoped... My wife needs to upgrade from the Iphone 4, its getting a little long in the tooth

I was set on a WP8 device for my next phone after using iOS on the iPhone 3G and 3GS, then the HTC Sensation and One X - both rooted - but damn, iOS 7 wipes the floor for both Android and WP8 for me.

Really impressed by the new UI/UX and features, along with power user features for OS X especially better multi monitor support, will be extremely useful for my CAD applications.

small 's' is plural. big S is the name of the phone.

iOS changes are *really* nice. so happy that my iPod Touch 5th gen is going to get it.

The flatness makes it feel a lot like metro, and that multitasking flip is straight out of webOS.

A much more polished and uniform version, certainly. I'm using CM10.1 at the moment and aspects of Android 4.2 still feel unfinished.

I'd imagine just Haswell and maybe a 750M in the 15in rMBP. I had read somewhere the graphics performance in Haswell mobile was pretty good, and since I have been debating a rMBP for awhile, I might just grab a 13in refresh. I will probably have it plugged into a monitor 90% of the time anyway.

The 650m will still have greater performance in games that even IRIS Pro, although I believe IRIS offers slightly better compute. I'd wait for the Haswell refresh, it's going to appear pretty soon I guess.

I'm digging some of the changes with iOS 7. Being able to have pages within folders will be nice given the ridiculous amount of games that I have.

iOS integration with the touch screens in cars? I didn't see Audi on the grid I saw, so I might be buying a new car soon. >_>

MyFord Touch can already read texts, but it doesn't work for the iPhone. I really wish they'd implement that.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as your wife. (Don't worry, we're keeping it completely professional.) My contract's up in July.

I thought the last couple iPhone upgrades were announced in July or August, shipping later in the fall, so I hadn't been worrying about it.

Is $250 difference enough to justify getting the Haswell procs and great battery life? Hmmm.

I don't have 802.11ac yet and don't know if HD5000 is much better than HD4000.

Disappointed somewhat at no Haswell MBP.

Apple quoted 45% better GPU performance. I'd suggest you with Haswell, unless the savings are that important to you.

hmmm i can't even get into the apple developer portal right now. i wonder if they are going to have ios7 on there for devs today like they usually do after announcements. if they do i will probably install it tonight and see how it runs on my iphone4. bet it runs like ass on there.
