It Pretty much went down hill after Stone Cold Steve Austin left. He was so good that no one has been on his level since. Doing stupid shit like having The Big show crying in the middle of the ring because they were going to fire him is the stgupis

Steve Austin would have beat all there asses and did this. Also to all the haters.

you better not be living in Texas...or Oklahoma or Arkansas...they believe that rasslin is real....
Fixed

It's still very physically demanding and injuries are common. Concussions are a particularly big issue. Explains why pro wrestlers tend to die so young.
I don't think the deaths are generally from injuries so much as they're from prolonged use of drugs - pain medications along with other drugs to counteract the lethargy from the pain drugs; excess body weight, and steroid use.

The pain meds are probably a huge deal imo. When they go on the road they're doing shows 4 or 5 nights a week. You know you're about to get suplexed, and how to land properly, but add that up and it's going to hurt. A lot.

...There's a big difference between scripted/predetermined and fake.
It's still fake.
Umm...no.

If I make a fake punch and it does not connect and your head kicks back as if it did and then you act momentarily stunned, then that isn't the "scripted/predetermined" part. That's fake. It may ALSO be "scripted/predetermined" (like you said), but it's still inarguably fake (like I said). Got it? Good.

You only get time off if its a fake injury someone once jokingly told me. Most will work through minor injuries which lead to pain killer addiction. Yet the 43 year old stoner that's still jumping on ladders hasn't lost a step.:whiste:

I wrestled in high school. I can't stand WWE. It's just so bloody stupid. Almost none of the moves actually make any sense, and the guys just all act like total assholes, it's really irritating.

I liked WWF when I was 7... and I think I knew it was fake then.

What I really don't understand is adults who watch it and actually follow the storylines. Once I was like 10 I realized none of it makes any sense at all, the whole idea completely asinine.

Honestly, I'd rather watch train wrecks like the Jersey Shore or even Bad Girls Club. I just don't understand how fake wrestling... is a thing. Why is people hating each other and wrestling in rings an idea for a show? Even if the stories were 100% reality, why would they wrestle in their underwear? I DON'T GET IT.

In 5th grade I DDT'ed a friend during lunch, needless to say without training I fucked him up really bad. Pro Wrestling might be scripted, but if you don't know what you're doing it's uber dangerous. When I was 19 I decided I wanted to try my hand at wrestling, I went to a local school and basically ended up quitting before the first day was up. They go hard at first to weed out the ones who aren't cut out for it. I was in a good deal of pain after 4 hours of getting hipped tossed and other shit.
