www.anandtech.com outage notice

Tonight at 5pm we will be taking the old www.anandtech.com as you know it down, in its place will be a brand spanking new site which will launch later this evening. This outage should not affect the forums much, just a maintenance reboot is planned.

Dang! Just when I was geting to know the old and so much loved AnandTECH so well...

Can't wait to see the new changes. I wish Anand and all the staff at Anandtech continued success and prosperity!

For future Forum updates, I would sure like to see more emotion icon's and author icon's. In addition to more author icon's it would be great if we could put a pic in that slot like alot of other forums do. Would be nice to see alot of the fine folks here. And then again it may not? Just kidding...

I think 100 author icons is quite enough The next version of FuseTalk which anandtech wil upgrade to in a few weeks will have more emoticons though and alot of new changes including some new interface elements.

Sounds great. I am a webmaster and I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to use a new design for all of these pages.

I've noticed that when I connect through opera web browsier the site really moves fast, this is as fast as when Im logged in as a subscriber, must be some sort of glitch!
