I ordered a 6800GT with free Doom3 yesterday from gameve.com and they've taken a LONG time to process my order. I used rush processing and after 24 hours, it's still on "Order Received/Ready to Charge" which is only the 2nd step after "Order Submited by Customer." Also, I tried calling them during their business hours (I adjusted for the time difference) and no one answered the phone. This is making me nervous, can anyone tell me their experiences with gameve.com?

I ended up ordering from them because they had the best price for a 6800gt with doom3 and I was needed the card quickly.
The first sign of a problem was that when I called their 1-800 number, I couldn't reach any of their employees. I called on different days at different times during their office hours. I decided to order anyways because of their pretty good resellerratings score.
I ordered a "XFX GeFORCE 6800GT 256MB DDR3 W/DOOM3 RETAIL", item number VC-XFX-025 on 12/27/04. It was "In stock: Usually ships within 1-2 business days." I used their "rush" ordering, which had to be ordered by noon and charged by 12:30. I ordered at 11:44am and my order didn't get charged until 24 hours later(I ordered from Newegg right after Gameve and that "rush" order shipped the same day.) I also ordered from Newegg, Monarchcomputer, and Xoxide on the same day and got everything by Thursday. (I had my computer fully assembled and running with my old video card that night)
The status changed to "Order Shipped" at 4:44pm the day after I ordered and I got an e-mail confirming the status. The note said "Your XFX order will ship out from XFX warehouse by UPS 3 days. thanks - 92568." Since it said "Shipped" in big red lettering in my e-mail, I assumed all was alright, but I never got a tracking number.
It is now 1/4/05 and I still haven't gotten the item so I e-mailed about the item and got the response: "Your will get the tracking number shortly" That sounded like a bullcrap response so I called them for the 6th time total and FINALLY got an answer. The guy said the item was backordered and that it won't ship until Thurs/Fri.
I wouldn't have known it was backordered if I didn't call them. Plus the item title and description (same item number) doesn't say anything about Doom3 so I will probably end up getting screwed when I they send me the card w/out Doom3.
