Update: OOS, but they will be available again in 3 months. If you're not in any rush, they will honor the price, keep your money, and ship out an XXL pad when they become available again in a few months. I opted for that because this is the best price I've ever seen on a MAME pad like this.

Linkage

I used to have one of their Dual Joysticks and it was simply awesome. I ended up giving to a friend for Christmas since I didn't use it that much. However, I've been planning on building a MAME cabinet for my home theater and this is the perfect controller for it. Features:

-Dual Joystick plus Trackball
-Lifetime Warranty
-40 pounds, nearly indestructible
-Works with MAME, Gametap, Consoles, etc.
-Includes USB/PS2 adapter for PC/Mac
-Console adapters available for $20 each (Playstation, Xbox, etc.) * Trackball only works with PC/Mac
-$100 plus $30 shipping (3-5 day ground)
-Grade B (may have some scratches/scuffs)
-Limited quantity due to upgrading (new panel is being used in their pre-made Arcade Cabinets)

Console adapters available here. Supports the following consoles: (Xbox 360 adapter under development)

-Playstation 3
-Nintendo Wii & Gamecube
-Playstation 1 and 2
-Xbox (original)
-Dreamcast

All in all a pretty hot deal...comes to $150 shipped with an Xbox adapter for me. Their "Tankpad", which is the smaller, more portable version of the XXL controller, is $200; the XXL controller itself retails for $250. Great deal if you want to build your own Arcade Cabinet...just plug into a PC or a modded Xbox, throw in an old tube TV and some computer speakers and you're ready to rock and roll. Of course, my cabinet will have drink holders...and a snack tray...and a pair of nice bar stools - you know, all those things you wished your local arcade had

Wow! This does look like a great deal. I'm trying very much to resist temptation, but I'm also trying to find a place in the house where the lil lady will allow me to put a mocked-up arcade cabinet.

Wow! What an AWESOME DEAL! Thank you THANK YOU!

I made the mistake of going to one of those Super Auctions for arcade games & came back with a few stand~up consoles (non-working) on a few & a couple of pinball machines.

The plan was to fix & sell, well, I did manage to sell a few of the pinball machines & even some of the arcades but I'm still left with more than one taking up space in my basement.

I'm hoping this will plop into one of them without too much difficulty & I've definitely got the extra PC's to run a MAME set up!

$137 shipped with Philly 7% tax.

I guess I should install Mame on my Mac Mini and use it as an arcade machine too although I'd need a firewire drive for extra space.

Oooh, cool. Shipping is $50 or $29? Based on what state you're in? Any coupon/promo codes or anything?

Don't ever try and build your own cabinet unless you're REALLY good at electronics/woodworking/soldering, it's a giant pain in the ass. Much better off buying one of these. I might get one, mainly for the trackball. I bought a happ trackball but it was way too complicated to try and get it working with my PC. Also it's hard to find trackball emulation stuff - I want Silver Strike Bowling in mame

Thanks OP.

Looks to be OOS as I just got an email basically canceling my order or I could get a different board but for an additional amount of $$$'s I was already at my limit/budget for this.

Nice deal for those that got in though!

Damnit, OOS email.

I'm wondering if I should just go for the Tankstick which is pretty much the same thing. Except smaller, lighter, and more expensive.

edit: Bah, I'll just get the Tankstick.

you better know about this stuff with user id like that
is there a good stick you would suggest for 2d fighters? I am going to be using it for Melty Blood ACPC exclusively (stick + A, B, C, D, two programmable buttons would help)

40lbs of horrible quality? - That's a bold statement. You have to make an argument with a statement like that. Why is it horrible quality?

I've never used one, so I don't know, I'm just curious why you hate it.

I guess because he's selling his own custom made arcade sticks?
Also, everyone that has used X-Arcade controllers have seemed to like them according to reviews.

Contact me about buying a finely crafted, 100% customizable MAME

I had the Dual Joystick before and it was fantastic. I don't see what's "horrible quality" about it at all. It feels very heavy duty and it works great, what more is there?

I picked up one of these x-arcade sticks before and the quality is okay, but not great if you care about timing in certain games (i.e. street fighter 2 or SF3 third strike games). If you just want it to play old arcade games like metal slug, shinobi, etc... you'll be okay. But if you are looking for something to replicate the exact arcade experience you get for fighting type games, i would look somewhere else. The quality of the parts that go into the x-arcade aren't that great and the adapters to convert for Playstation or Xbox don't work that well. (Again, for games that require timing)

Another complain I have about this particular controller is that the two players controls are too close together. So if you have two full grown adults playing, your shoulders will be running into each other quite often. It gets annoying.

Best way is to go custom w/ some Happ or sanwa parts.. but that will cost you much more than $100.

Another good one I've heard of is this one by Nuby called the 15th Anniversary Street Fighter Arcade stick: http://www.amazon.com/Street-F...de-Stick/dp/B000GQ46EO

I haven't had any experience with that stick personally but the reviews seem good.

If someone really wants an X-arcade stick solo with PS2 adapter, i'll get rid of mine for $40 bux shipped.

Yup, this is what I did, although I already paid for mine. I don't mind waiting a few months, I'm not in any rush to build my cabinet

MAS sticks are better, but they only come in 1 player format. If you swap the stock X-Arcade parts with Happs then it's not a half bad stick, but a lot of people have complaints with the PCBs they use.

what does weight have to do with anything?

The joysticks and buttons feel like crap. You can get cheap ones from happcontrols.com that are cheap and feel great. You can feel the difference instantly.

I have the trackball ($49.95 AR) and it's very good. I build my own sticks out of their parts.

Good deal... Had this been available when I bought my trackball, I woulda gotten this.
