Unless they can get David D. back to "really" wrap things up, don't count on it... The Movie was the beginning of the end - the series was to only run five years then end with the movie - but everyone got greedy and kept the series going to milk it for what it was worth...

What killed the X-files? Not Goverment Agents. Not Aliens. Not the Cancer Man. What killed it was greed.

I used to watch religiously, but after Mulder was gone, I watched 5 or 6 episodes and that was enough. Too bad.

I think the show jumped the shark when they started to believe what they wrote was actually the truth..

The old X-Files really drew me in with the alien and government conspiracies. The movie was alright, but I've hardly seen any episodes since, when they starting running on empty for paranormal storylines.

The series had its days in the sun, but unfortunately it's now well past its prime.

I sort of agree. I never really liked Mulder that much. Now AD Skinner (Mitch Pileggi, sigh...) was MY compelling reason to watch, and I really like Gillian Andersen.

Yeah, he actually thinks he has a future in Hollywood....hehehe
Every film he has been in has tanked. He's gonna be begging for those reunion shows real soon.

The first seasons were great, but they progressively lost it more and more. Gone were the days of the liver eater and the fluke. It's time this show was put to rest.
