It was good for a little time after the movie, but the last 2 seasons have sucked a lot.


It was good when the shows just talked about an isolated event, like during the first season started...

It sounds like the movie is still planned. I wonder if Carter is going to yank his audience around one last time or if he's actually going to use the movie to reward us poor saps that stuck with him mostly from the beginning and give us some answers and closure for some storylines.

Of all his series, I think I miss Millennium the most though. Carter is one neurotic, paranoid guy, but that show was incredible up until they added that dippy FBI agent in the last season.

Thats right Tex. I have watched the X-Files from the very first episode. And with no Mulder and Scully being the lead characters it just has no appeal. Plain and simple it was about those 2. Without them together the show is dead, dead, dead.

It just proves my point that any show that has a baby enter the picture is doomed.

What a shame the series didn't end properly...there was no definite conclusion to the whole story that's been going on since season 1. We all thought it would be concluded with the movie but it wasn't really. BTW I love the X-Files movie!! I also own the first 4 seasons on DVD...but yeah after the movie the series kinda went downhill which is a HUGE shame

my thoughts exactly. losing mulder was the last straw.

finally. The show's been on life support for 3 or 4 seasons now.

When Mulder came back for a little while last season, the episodes were really good but besides that it has only been alright. I hope they do a movie and it sums up the whole entire X-Files life time, the conspiracy with the smoking man, the abductions, the aliens, if someone inside the FBI is in on it ... everything. And please no Doggat just Mulder and Scully.

Time to pull the plug. The more recent X-Files episodes aren't worth the film they're recorded on.

The show was Mulders and Scully's vehicle but Fox and Carter probably didn't want to end the show because they were making money off it still. The story line started getting stupid and lame when they weren't about little green men and government conspiracies.

Dogget was an attempt to replace mulder but it just didn't work, they should have had mulders more paranoid brother or cousin take over as the lead that might have worked.

I will watch to see how the series ends.

Same thing. The baby is just the big, red, glowing sign that the writers are completely tapped. It's the harbinger of the end. The great beast that finally announces the apocolypse.

X-Files is obviously done, but Angel I can see a way out. You have a vampire. You have a baby. A baby is just this little bag of blood... Get on with it already.

It's about time.. I don't think anyone was a bigger fan of the show than I was, and I started watching it from the very first episode. The last couple of seasons though I started watching it only occasionally and then eventually stopped watching it completely (after Mulder left).

It would have been better to have killed the show while it was still somewhat good, would have left a better aftertaste.

totally. the old x-files are still the sh!t and they play them at 11 pm on fox on sunday's, love it! too bad they are taking it. they should just keep the old ones.
