OK, what the crap? I stayed after the credits Friday night, and there was no scene.
And yet, according to wikipedia:He (Darwin) ends up appearing to be killed by Shaw after he is forced to eat nuclear energy. His body forms a metallic like material, then stone to try to contain the energy planted inside of him. After the credits roll, he is seen reforming his body into energy on the moon.
How come The Beast looked like Teen Wolf?
I didn't see an extra scene either (midnight showing), but even if I did... that scene you described would mean very little to me. I still believe that they did an awful job at making you actually care about the extra mutants.I was more bummed that they showed Storm during his "search for the mutants" scene, but they never actually recruited her. I assume this is because she was shown as a kid, but wasn't Storm one of the first X-Men anyway?
I was kind of more annoyed that I stayed after the credits for nothing when something was supposed to be there. That was like, 5 minutes.
I would probably agree with you. The only ones that really mattered were Charles, Magneto, Mystique, and Beast. The rest were just kind of there. Most of the bad guys weren't really played with either. Did they even give gray-suit-guy a name? I also don't think McAvoy and Fassbender were up to the standard set by Stewart and McKellen. But who would be?
I did get a lot of enjoyment out of some kind of random stuff. The aforementioned cameo. The fact that I was pretty sure (just confirmed) that Azazel was the father of Nightcrawler with Mystique. Knowing that Havok was Cyclop's brother (big age difference, or are they ignoring the old films? That was something I was unsure of, reboot or prequel?)
Then again, some random stuff also annoyed me about the movie:How does Mystique know what Shaw looked like at the end, especially the helmet? How does a coin go through someone's head like that? Physics seem to indicate that his head would move backwards instead. Metal vs diamond and diamond wins? (though, I don't know enough about gems and stonecutting to disprove this one. It was odd to me)

I figure Charles knew exactly what Shaw looked like and just telepathically fed it to Mystique.

I'd have to see the movie again to recall the exact spot in the time line, butwas he able to see into the reactor room by that point?

Thought of that.
And then thought this. It happened pretty fast.
What the hell.
X2 > X3/XO > X1
As I was walking out of the theater, a group of black people where in front of me. Their first comment was " Black people always die first"
I loled
Sucked. January Jones was banging though.
X2 was the best of those. But are you high? X3 and wolverine were fucking godawful and it has little to nothing to do with their faithfulness to the comics. X1 was shot when Marvel was more or less bankrupt and didn't have a very large budget. I agree it wasn't the best but X3 was so bad. That movie's purpose was to defecate on the previous two and ruin Magneto's character. And then Wolverine Origins? I didn't think it was possible to make a wolverine movie that sucked but they did it and eclipsed X3 in sucking.
I think he meant "X0" (X Zero) as referring to Xmen first class, not Wolverine Origins.
Also - the guy in the grey suit was Riptide...a Marauder. Marauders were badass. A Sinister/Marauder sequel with Charles/Magneto teaming up to defeat Sinister would make my inner geek squeal with delight. And it can still show how CHarles and Eric manage a friendship even though they see the world differently.
A brutally evil man who can spin his body at superhuman speeds and fling out shurikens (made from a resin his skin secretes) for amazing amounts of damage.
great movie. the women were hot. whoever played mystique was amazing.
